purple peruvian soft brew :-)

Solo'd it on Fillmore visiting SFO for 2nd time this year. I had the Chorito(/mussel & chorizo in broth), lamb meatballs(albondigas) and caesar salad. I could have done without the anchovy fillets but over all it was a good experience, especially the recommendation of the purple beverage... read more

Bland food, large wine glasses, noisy. For a while they offered "bottomless" mimosas for brunch -- I hope that's over. A decent place for a quick bite, but don't go out of your way.

We wanted someplace with seafood, and while I was searching, I ran across Fresca. I didn't know they had opened a second location in my favorite SF neighborhood. It was great! We got seated quickly even though it was crowded, thanks to Open Table. I had the oysters, which were incrediblly sweet! I also ordered a fish I had never... More

Cute small restaurant. Food was great! I had the duck and my husband had the steak. Another friend had the whole fish and that was excellent. REALLY good sangria. Fair prices and large portions. Atmosphere was a bit lacking, but maybe that was because we were there on a thursday.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us while visiting San Francisco. Appetizers were delicious. Ceviche, plantain chips and a potato/beet salad. Everything was very flavorful and seasoned perfect. I had the pork chop for my main and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the plate. I couldn't finish it! You must visit this one!

It is a small place, but the food was incredible. I definitely recommend the tuna appetizer - phenomenal. And the chicken skewers dinner was perfect. Oh, and the yucca fries are delicious! Great service and fabulous food!

We have been to Peru, and this food is very authentic. It's fresh and flavorful. We had very nice service. Their pisco sours (and their own "take" on them - they have the original and a few others) were very good and reminiscent of our time in Peru. My husband had the "Tiradito" which is similar to Ceviche. The sampler... More

I LOVE Peruvian food and Fresca is definitely in my top 3 for SF. Fresh and flavorful - no necessarily spicy. Must order one of the ceviches. Beef or seafood done really well.

We've been hearing about this restaurant, easy to reach (but hard to park) & decided to try it tonight. Ignorant of peruvian food, we just sampled the 4 ceviches, a wonderful little green salad, the "poor man's beefsteak" (!), and a tres leches dessert. All nicely complemented by a syrah rosé. The service, on a Friday evening that began quietly... More
