After stumbling upon Fresca almost 6 years ago while walking hungrily down Fillmore I eagerly look forward to revisiting every time I return to San Francisco. This quaint, high energy restaurant with incredible food and drinks is a must for those who enjoy great food, drinks and service. Cannot wait to go back.

We stopped in before going to the movies across the street. They were super speedy and the dishes were fabulous. We ordered several ceviche dishes and they were all excellent.

This place was perfect from start to finish - the mixto ceviche was terrific, followed by freshly prepared plantains, then onto the salmon and ravioli and sea bass dishes, topped off with the best tres leches dessert we have ever had. Excellent service. It is a bit out of the center of SF, but in a great neighborhood and worth... More

My first visit to San Francisco combined business and pleasure. The pleasure was visiting a dear friend over my birthday weekend. She and her family had recently moved to the city center of SF from western Michigan. My friend and I snuck away from the family to celebrate my birthday at Fresca. It had been recommended to her by work... More

I had first discovered Fresca on Fillmore the Summer of 2009 and had dinner there a few times with friends during a 10-day visit. I've just returned to San Francisco this July and enjoyed it once again, this time with my daughter, her husband, and her step-sister. We were all happy with every dish on the menu we had that... Started with the ceviche, but couldn't resist the plantain chips. They were crispy and not a bit greasy--mmmm. But best of all was the whole dorado. One of the best fish meals I have had in San Francisco. Service was great, as was the wine.

Superb fish stew, perfectly seasoned. Could have done with some local bread to mop up the juice - when I asked I was offered garlic bread which did the job, but I'm sure they could manage something more interesting! Great South American wine. Very, very busy - I ended up sitting at the counter, but the waiting staff looked after... More

After the first few bites of our first couple of dishes (ceviche mixto, plantains), our group went a bit nuts and ordered almost everything on the menu. Overall, the food here is very well done. Highlights included the yuca gnocchi (just divine), the pork belly and the camarones. Next time I would pass on the chile rellenos and quinoa. Service... More

I came with 2 friends. Even though the place was empty when we got there, we were told they were fully booked (when we left 90 minutes later, they certainly seemed to be). We were guided to their small counter and squeezed in. The seating was not pleasant. The ceviche was ok, but expensive, with small portions and a nice... More
