I cannot even believe how slow the service was. I was with one friend, we decided on light options such as the Cesar salad and the appetizers of empanadas and other items. I couldn't really figure out what was "Peruvian" about the food. Seemed like simple, basic, nothing special American food with random Peruvian ingredients or touches added. A table... More

I wouldn't categorize this is a "destination restaurant" but if you are in the neighborhood and want to try something a little different, by all means stop in! There aren't many Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco, and if you like ceviche you must try it here. We had lunch here on a Saturday, so it was pretty tame. It can... More

I and 5 others met at Fresca for a late brunch on a Sunday. I ordered the Huevos en Cazuela in keeping with the brunch tradition but others in my party ordered sandwiches which they likewise enjoyed. My eggs were a pleasant surprise, a sort of seafood Peruvian version of the Mexican huevos rancheros filled with lobster and spinach simmered... More

The food here is simple fare with the touch of an excellent chef. We enjoyed our meal. It was crowded when we were there and I would guess it is crowded every evening. Our waiter took our order and never returned to our table. He hung out at tables that had beautiful young women patrons and we had to interrupt... More

Middle of the day, quite deserted on Wednesday. Our beatiful and attentive waiter described all details. The Ceviche's eere impeccable and so was the Jalea Mixta, all accompanied by the Cusquena beer. Loved it.

This popular Peruvian restaurant serves great Ceviche and starters. My friend loved her Pollo la Brasa (Chicken).

Another great place in the Fillmore area, this time being noveau Peruvian. I could list the different meals we had, but you really need the server to explain the details. Everything sounded nice, and it was a tough decision as to which, although my wife stayed with chicken (Pollo la Brasa) and I stayed with fish (Trucha Encebollada). Our guests... More

We had a family dinner there. There was some initial confusion with our order. A waiter delivered an empenada, quickly placing it on the table and leaving. We hadn't ordered yet. He showed up about three minutes later with another dish and when we informed him that we had ordered either dish, he pulled the first one of the table... More

Just some Midwesterners looking for a burger and me dying for something more adventurous...next thing I know the whole team is ordering rolling up their sleeves and trying one exotic thing after the next delicious!!!!

After stumbling upon Fresca almost 6 years ago while walking hungrily down Fillmore I eagerly look forward to revisiting every time I return to San Francisco. This quaint, high energy restaurant with incredible food and drinks is a must for those who enjoy great food, drinks and service. Cannot wait to go back.
