We eat here EVERY time we are in San Francisco. The have the most INCREDIBLE pastrami I have ever had and I grew up in an area loaded with great Kosher Delicatessens. This place is terrific!!!

I'm disappointed. I really wanted this place to be a good find as it's walking distance from the hotel that I usually stay at when I'm in town. AND It's open late. I've had airplane food that's better than this. I remember when I volunteered at a homeless shelter during thanksgiving one year and the food there was better too.... More

The bar was pretty good, a lot to choose from with the beer, and even had a good selection of other mixed drinks. The food wasn't that good, but I wasn't really expecting it to be so I wasn't really dissappointed. Good location for the locals, even a spot to read your newpaper outside.

My husband and I had lunch at Tommy's Joynt. He had the roast beef sandwich and I had the pastrami plate. The food was hot and fresh. There were many sides to choose from. Our waitress was very busy, but friendly and brought our drinks right away. I believe Tommy's is about the history and consistently good deli service. Just... More

I had heard about it before, saw it on TV so just had to find time to try it. It is an old time saloon with a food line of hand cut meats. I had the roast beef sandwich on sour dough bread, They also had turkey, Corned beef, pastrami. Cash only.

you really cant go wrong with this establishment, we were staying at the Opal Hotel across the road and whilst on initial inspection from a distance it may not look like a place for a holiday maker -this is not the case. whilst the prices of the food were some of the cheapest we paid in the city , it... This place was recommended by a local, who suggested we were unlikely to find a better place to have a thanksgiving meal in San Fran. Most places shut down as people celebrate, but this is the place everyone seems to go to grab a traditional dinner for a bargain price. A choice of meat with all the trimmings and then... More

The place does food but we didn't try it. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. The bar is old with plenty of wood. It reminded me of the sort of bars you get in Chicago. If you are near it it's worth dropping into.
