We stumbled upon the menu and had to try it. I ordered the chilaqueles and my husband got the salmon hash. We both LOVED everything. I would recommend this place as a must for anyone in the area. The staff was also extremely friendly.

Haven't been here in years but wanted to have brunch without waitin in long lines like at Kitchen Story. Ordered kids size French toast and eggs Benny. French Toast was not very hot, was too dry and not very flavorful. The eggs Benedict was good with pan grilled ham instead of Canadian bacon. Potatoes had a nice crust and were... More

We really enjoyed the food, but was it worth the wait and how cramped we felt being right up against other tables once we were seated. Yes it was. They had great sandwiches and pasta. My husband's tuna melt was very good and my lasagna was one of the best I have had at a restaurant. Everything tasted very fresh... More

Chow boasts a simple menu--some sandwiches, salads, and pastas that can be prepared and served quickly. So it is a good place to stop when you discover that you are hungry while running errands, shopping, or doing the San Francisco tourist thing. The fare has a fresh, wholesome taste, a little bland perhaps, but nothing complicated or fussy. It beats... More

I've eaten at Chow on several trips to San Francisco. It's not expensive, and not inexpensive. At brunch I had a very good scrambled egg and carnitas on a tortilla. For dinner the pot roast was very good. Wine and beer only, with lots of wines available by the glass.

The beet salad was too average for my taste (no special dressing, too small portion). The beer and the venue was nice though.
