At Chow, we support our neighbors and local farms by offering fresh, organic, healthy ingredients. Our chicken is organic free-range, our beef is natural & organic and our seafood is sustainably caught & delivered fresh. All our desserts are made fresh daily in our Lafayette location and fresh juices are pressed to order. This commitment to quality has put us on San Francisco Chronicle's list of the Top 100 Restaurants in the Bay Area nine years in a row.

The food w very good , the service was great and they are wonderful with the kids. The waiter suggested we get one order of the kids Mac and cheese , but we got two. He was right. The portion sizes are very generous. We all loved what we ordered.

Whenever we go to Chow it is good! It is moderately priced, the atmosphere is lively yet not wild.....so many choices on the menu and everything has been good. Sensible wine and beer prices and a great dessert: gingerbread with pumpkin ice cream and caramel sauce (maybe that is seasonal.....we don't usually eat dessert except when our 30+ son is... More

We first found out about Chow on Church street from Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel, and were pleased to find the hype was worth it. While certainly not haute cuisine, Chow doesn't pretend to be anything more than great food. Imagine pub food meets pan-Asian flare and you get an idea. What's also admirable is that they have maintained... More

I frequently go to Chow with my husband for both dinner and/or brunch on the weekends. It's a casual, friendly and moderately priced and they try to use as many organic meats, veggies and fruit whenever possible. It's a great place to go for California inspired meals with lots of choices and excellent desserts. If you go, make sure to... More

Lovely staff ,very down to earth ,Dillon looked after us well. She recommended the organic pork chop and that was one... More

It's surprisingly tricky to find a good steak in this part of SF. We found one here…. Cooked to perfection! And the wood smoked mussels with butter sauce were to die for! A relaxed and friendly atmosphere topped it off. Will definitely be back.

Very busy place on the weekends and can understand why. Had to wait a few minutes for a table but they seated us out the back in the patio area, which is what we requested. Good honest food. Friendly staff. Will be going back.

An excellent atmosphere and ambiance greets you as well as the very friendly staff. We ate on the patio which was a bit quieter than the bar but just as homely. The food was amazing, fresh and tasty. The portion sizes are great. Not too much and not to little. I would recommend the Chicken Noodle Soup, I had a... More

The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
