Perfect for lunch but don't ask for extras

Went there with my friend who doesn't eat meat so she ordered a salad with a side of salmon. In the end she paid basically for two dishes that came to $24. She didn't ask and was so surprised but at that point it was too late. I ordered a tuna melt but was rather disappointed because it was... read more

My husband and I often go to Chow for dinner when we don't want to cook because the food is always good and the atmosphere is lively, yet we can still talk and hear one another. It's casual with a youngish and hip crowd, but we feel very at home (though we are over 60). There are a lot of... More

The eatery is like an old diner( probably is an old diner). The food was fresh and flavourful, I had the scramble with chicken sausage and my husband didn't want to share his pancakes which were the best I've had in a restaurant. The server was attentive and the group of us enjoyed everything

I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I'm lucky to live around the corner. Good substantial American food with Italian and South Asian influences (sounds a bit confusing, but it's really very good)

Nice selection of food and drinks in a fun, casual atmosphere. The pot roast was delicious as well as the ginger cake for dessert. The salads looked terrific. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their selection. Service was very good and attentive, especially considering how busy they were.

A group of 8 of us went for dinner tonight. Service was great. The waiter, Nolan was funny and kept us entertained. I had the Tai noodles with steak and chicken. Very tasty.

Delicious food for varied taste buds. The Thai noodles with chicken and steak and the nachos were both fresh, tasty and filling. Recommended by our B&B host at The Willows Inn

I ordered the asparagus pizza which was pretty good but not amazing. The crust was burnt to the point of being black on edges, but I ate the middle which was good. The ingredients tasted fresh and the crust was thin and crisp, but it was still burnt which I was not happy about. Ordered the ginger cake for dessert... More

Neighborhood bar atmosphere, certainly not consistent wth rave reviews. Average food, small portions, flavorless salads.

The food w very good , the service was great and they are wonderful with the kids. The waiter suggested we get one order of the kids Mac and cheese , but we got two. He was right. The portion sizes are very generous. We all loved what we ordered.

From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners.
