After a cold and windy evening at Alcatraz this was the perfect antidote. The restaurant was able to accommodate us for a last minute booking and inside was warm and inviting – very much like a steakhouse should be. The starters were great, the steaks cooked perfectly and we were assisted in purchasing a great matching wine. As an aside,... More

For my 50th birthday, my family flew to San Francisco from Australia. We decided on Ruth Chris for our night out. At last minute seating had to be reorganized but it was done very quickly and my the table sprinkled with Happy Birthday. They were busy and there was a high degree of automated service. Don't expect personal service but... More

Had the Sirloin (forget the US name for it) with mash, creamed spinach and onion rings. It was fantastic. Best steak ever, I didn't think a steak I had in Australia could be beaten but this was there. Great service, very attentive. Highly recommend.

Went for a friends birthday party and the entire group has a great time - steaks was delicious and cooked just the way we asked (medium rare in my case) - sides were pretty good as well. The size of the desserts though was ridiculous - you could have feed an army on just chocolate cake or the lime pie... More

I have eaten in several Ruth's Chris steakhouses and never been unhappy. The barman here was friendly and helpful in the late afternoon. We returned for a late dinner. Wait staff great and the steaks cooked as requested, tasty and tender. My wife forgot her jacket but did not realize it until the next morning. We had to catch a... More

A very predictable chain option for excellent steak, perfect service, good wine selection, and otherwise fitting the bill when you need a last second option. Especially if you're staying away from downtown, as it's easy to get to and not too much else of quality around the Van Ness corridor.

We ate T-Bone and Ribeye both was very delicious. Ribeye was better:) The atmosphere, the wines all were very good. Except the potatos. Dont order baked potatoes. The prices are quite high. Tbone 50, Ribeye 45 USD.

I have been to the restaurant before many years ago and it was a great experience back then. This time it was terrible. My ribeye steak was not tender and the center of the cut was full of fat. My wife's filet was better, but was not cooked according to her order. The caeser salad was swimming in dressing. The... More

Clearly Ruth's Chris doesn't fail it's reputation, the beef was excellent. I had the Porterhouse with my wife, very tasty and juicy. We don't get meet like this in Belgium anymore. Everything that goes with the beef is less interesting and average, but we knew that. Waiters were very nice and efficient. A excellent experience. Of note, a very exhaustive... More
