I cannot speak too highly of Florio on Fillmore in SF. I have gone there every year for over ten years and never been disappointed. John Castellano and his staff are prompt and friendly, even on bustling, busy nights. Dinners are not cheap but always delicious. Portion sizes are small enough that diners can indulge in cocktail, appetizer, entree, and... More

Because this restaurant is in my neighborhood, I'm going to be less generous in my review so I can continue to get a reservation at a decent hour.. What can I say: The place is quaint and has that Parisian Bistro feel, inviting for a warm dinner and a well executed cool cocktail. Not everything is perfect, our server had... More

Decor wise not a bad place with a friendly welcome. We ordered chicken which was undercooked and to be fair were offered a replacement meal but I have an aversion to complaining and then recieving another offering from the chef after a previous experience of food poisoning. The waitress was really good and our meals were removed from the bill.... More

Florio has expanded their menu since the last time we visited and I appreciated the wider range of choices. I had the starter of burrata and prosciutto with greens which was quite good followed by a pasta special that had black truffles on it. The food is consistently good, and the service very good, but if falls just shy of... More

Love the old school bar. Good cocktails. Only went here for a pre-dinner drink and would come back again to do the same

I met a friend here for appetizers - we shared the toasted almonds with sage and the castelventrano olives and drinks. I had the Fillmore nouveau Cocktail ($11) (wild turkey rye, house made ginger syrup, orange bitters) which was perfect and she had the silvertap sauvignon blanc 2012 “woods vineyard,” estate, dry creek valley which is their house wine and... This is one of my very favorite restaurants in San Francisco. If I could, I would have dinner there every night. It has a New York vibe to it; cozy and intimate. I sat at the bar for dinner and made immediate friends. The food....I loved their chicken; a speciality. Great wine list too. I'll be back soon...for sure.

Had dinner with a friend who lives in the area while visiting. We stayed for a couple of hours. Great place to hang out and talk. Food and service was very good. Nice variety of appetizers and entrees. I would return if I have the opportunity.

Went in late afternoon for drinks while waiting for a friend. Got a table outside. Lots of activity on Fillmore st. Drinks were fine, wait staff was great.

I ate at Florio with my daughter and my sister and her family during a recent stay in San Francisco. We had all just arrived in the city, my sister's family from London UK, so everyone was tired. We arrived at Florio at about 6:00, and they seated us at a window table although there was a reservation for the... More
