What a great bar! Called in for 'refreshment' mid afternoon, to be met with very friendly staff. Although not extensive, the menu of beers represented quality and interest. The selection of cold meats and cheese were a must have! So impressed, we called later for the burger, bourbon and beer. Again, service and quality impressed.

We were going to a performance at the Orpheum and wanted somewhere to stop for a drink. The SHN website list Soluna as a close restaurant. It is close to the theater and other venues! Their Happy Hour is 3 - 7 but gets really crowed about 4:30 with the after work crowd. About the food and wine - YUMMM.... More

Showed up with a reservation and were seated pretty quickly. Ordered a bottle of wine, which took about 10-15 minutes to show up. Entrees were very slow coming out. We had to ask for the check before being served main courses since we had a show to catch. Our reservation was an hour and an half before the show to... More

Found Soluna Cafe & Lounge situated close to the Civic Centre & the Main Library (where we obtained listings for the wide range of free guided walking tours available in San Francisco). We had a light lunch and found the sandwiches to be innovative and very tasty. Well worth a visit if you are in the area and if you... More

This cafe is in a great location, very close to City Hall, Davies Symphony Hall and SF Ballet, among other cultural attractions. We ate there last night before the symphony and enjoyed our meals very much. The steamed clams were yummy as were the fish and chips. The halibut was delicious and fresh, only a little overcooked.

The Soluna Cafe is an attractive and friendly restaurant quite close to several of the main performance venues in San Francisco: Opera House, Davies Hall, Orpheum Theater, and the Bill Graham Auditorium. Small menu, but lots of fresh takes on what is offered. The cheeseburger on a brioche bun was super, and the rib-eye steak was perfectly cooked. The servers... More

Had lunch here today and the food is wonderful. The wait for food was OK considering it was lunch time by SF City hall. Arugula salad was fresh and delicious , I had the halibut sandwich on brioche that was great. Downside is the bathrooms that look like a bus station with no TP. Pick up the attention to detail!

We worked up an appetite at the Asian Art Museum, and headed to the Soluna Cafe for a quick snack. We looked up some reviews, and it did not disappoint. Our party of three ordered different items on the menu and sampled each other's dinner, only to conclude that all three meals were equally delicious. The restaurant was clean, the... More

I used to work near this restaurant and I have continued to go there when in the area. It is a very reliable restaurant with a somewhat limited menu that changes from time to time. It is not a gourmet restaurant but the food is definitely upscale and well prepared, and even sometimes original. It is neither fancy nor expensive.... More

After a morning at the nearby Asian Art Museum, a friend and I stopped by Soluna for lunch. We have eaten lunch there several times over the years and the food remains consistently very good. The menu is interesting with various salads, burgers, soups, sandwiches and pastas. My civic burger was piled high with goodies -- crisp onions, brie and... More
