From the street you may think this is a tiny café, but its three stories tall. I recommend going up to the larger third floor dining room and sitting on the enclosed deck overlooking the 18th st. and a good bit of the Castro district. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was good. The real treat here is... More

I've been coming here for years. It's my Go-To lunch spot, especially if I have friends in town. I'm sitting on the patio right now, as I finish a great glass of wine after a great steak lunch. I come here for the bistek. Always cooked exactly the way I want it. Service is always exceptional. Don't be scared by... More

We stood in front of this restaurant trying to decide to try it or two others nearby. A local woman walking her dog recommended La Taza and she was right. The food was terrific, as was the friendly, attentive service. Looking to check out The Castro district and do dinner somewhere? Try La Taza.

We had a long travel day the day before we ate at Cafe La Taza. The menu is expansive and the food was fantastic! Great location if you are staying in Nob Hill. It opens early which is great for those on east coast time.

This is an excellent place, we went twice (we were at San Francisco only 3 nights). The food is really good, choice of fish or meat or pasta, for 12 to 20$. The service was also perfect! Francis & Valérie

We were looking for a place to have a light lunch. We were very happy with our wraps. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast the next day. There are only a few small tables but we didn't have to wait. Give it a try!

Loved the Thai Chicken Salad so much that I went back to have it the next day. Grace, Maria, and Delia are so lovely and care about their customers. I love this cafe :o)

I met a friend here for breakfast one day and returned with my husband and son for brunch the next. The service was fast and friendly. The diverse menu had a great selection of items for all meals. The atmosphere was casual and energetic. The coffee was fantastic. We ate out on the 3rd floor patio area, although a coffee... More

When we first walked in for breakfast and I saw old looking pastries hanging out in the glass under the register I wasn't really sure about this place. We went up the 3rd floor for sit down service. The coffee was very strong which I like. And the food was very good! I got the classic breakfast burrito but subbed... More

Stumbled across this gem searching for a less crowded quality breakfast place in the Castro. Cafe/Lounge area for coffee patrons on the first two floors. Restaurant seating is up on the third floor - indoor/outdoor porch has excellent views of the Castro and surrounding neighborhood. Relaxed and not crowded. Latin breakfast menu. We had the fresh squeezed OJ and bottomless... More
