This place is a gem. I popped in here one afternoon, strolling around lost in The North beach area Of San Fran. The ambience was warm, the staff helped me with directions & I could not help but notice the huge bowl of homemade sangria behind the bar. I had not seen that kind of splendor since visiting San Sebastian.I noted... More

Basque food is not frequently found in the US with the quality and variety we got here. Plates are reasonably priced and if you are up for a different experience, new flavors and the opportunity to share small tapas plates among friends, this place will definitely do it for you. The quality and dedication to prepare each of the recipes... More

Remarkably cosy atmosphere, enthousiastic waiter (encouraging us to try different wines to make the right choice - and that during happy hour), and an excellent tortilla. Quite spicy though - be careful if you don't bear jalapeños too well. If you're in a group of two or more, I would suggest you to order different tapas - the table is... More

The food, service and ambience were first rate. It was surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday night. We only had tspas, sangria, and wine, which were all tasty. Everything is freshly prepared. Try the spicy potatoes and beef ribs! Also the cheese with carmelized onions was wonderful.

We had squid in its ink, ahi tuna skewers and paella royale. They were a bit different from what we had when in San Sebastian (I'm not Basque at all), nonetheless very good. I think I read someone complaining about the squid having a fishy smell, but I got the opposite impression... It didn't smell that fishy at all. The... More

Had a group of 15. The staff was fantastic! Super nice, friendly, very accommodating. While they do offer several meals we decided to go all tapas. We ordered many different ones and several plates of each. Then we each had our own desserts. A couple bottles of wine, some cider, some iced tea. It was great fun trying all the... More

Plan to order 4-5 tapas for 2 people. Food was great, all wines $39 per bottle. Would definitely return!

We were a party of three and we tried a variety of tapas and they were all excellent. The squid, the stuff peppers, mushrooms, churizo... All that with a pitcher of very good sangria, excellent service, reasonably priced and we had a great evening.

Tried a variety of tapas and every one was better than the last! Loved the mushrooms, the grilled chorizo, the peppers...scrumptious crab croquettes, meatballs were very good, tasty calamari. The sangria was tasty and the staff was very attentive. Looks like they could handle a bigger group - rustic tables could easily pull together. I will definitely come back next... More

Service was great, but the food was only OK. My friend's ahi tuna was way overlooked and very bland. The tofu was ok, but overpriced. Wouldn't go back.
