We thought we'd try out one of the highest-rated restaurants during a convention visit to San Francisco, and sought out the Codmother. Almost missed it, it's so tiny. But big things often come in small packages, and if you like fish and chips, this is the ONLY place to go! Of course, that's about all they have, too. But you... More

The woman who took our order was very nice and patient. I ordered the fish and chips and they were fantastic! I have to agree with a previous review - these are better than the fish & chips I had in England too!

Well what a place this is !! Be prepared though its really busy with limited seating....... However the fish and chips are amazing and the place has a great atmosphere. If you are near Fisherman's Wharf this is a real must - worth the wait !!!

I'm not quite sure how to rate this restaurant. We ate here based on TripAdvisor recommendations so we knew it would be touristy. The service was exceptional. Everyone was very friendly. The outdoor eating area was kept clean and was surprisingly quiet even though you are footsteps from a major bus stop. The food was fresh. Perhaps my own personal... More

I have had fish and chips in both places and this by far is better than any I had in London, small but outstanding.

I ate here when I was in town for a work conference. I searched online to try to find a place that was not a hokey tourist trap (because nearly all of Fisherman's Wharf is one). I pulled up the name of this place and although I spent some time walking around trying to find it, I'm so glad I... More

Followed tripadvisor's recombination on this. Was not disappointed. Excellent fish and chips. Although the tartar sauce was not home made, the ladies that served us got 5 stars for spreading such joy. Thank you!

My husband loves fish and chips and this is the place to get the best! The fish tacos are amazing as well! The prices are great and the portions are HUGE! Service is very friendly and quick. We were very glad to have found this place on Trip Advisor! Highly recommend!

Yes, the original fish and chips is to die for. Salty yumminess. However, do not overlook the fish tacos. The tortillas are good and the sauce is absolutely amazing! Big portions. A must stop if you are in the Fisherman's Wharf area.

We were recommended this restaurant by a Guide we had on a tour of San Francisco . The first night we looked for it but couldn't see it . Then walking from our hotel up to fisherman's Wharf there it was , we had walked passed it many times . Now this is not really a restaurant but it does... More
