Kind of funny the BEST place to eat in all of fisherman's wharf is a permit food truck! By far the best food in the wharf the only place that has seafood that does not look and taste as it came for the processed grocery freezer Ship all of the rest just eat the best! The owner is a Great... More

Huge portions, great service, probably not what you expect in terms of layout, it's not really a restaurant, but it's great, bit of a cult place to visit and the fish is outstanding - in fact you may want just one portion to share!! Shame they aren't open in the evenings as this was the best meal we had in... More

When we first saw this quaint little place, we were thinking. . .really, great fish and chips? We were amazed--extremely friendly staff, wonderful cod. Crispy but still done all the way through and not dry. The chips are homemade and excellent. Seating is not much and they are closed on Tuesday but it is worth it. I got a junior... More

This is about as authentic to English fish & chips as it gets. It's got the crunchy beer batter that drips oil all over your hands and thick cut fries that pair perfectly with malt vinegar. I was not a fan of the chips gone wild though. They just made the fries too heavy and in combination with the oily... More

After seeing the rave reviews of this food stand, my son and I were ready to enjoy a classic meal of fish and chips. The food stand and seating area were clean and pleasant. The three young women in the stand were spirited, friendly, and a delight to talk with. The cashier even persuaded my young adult son to pay... More

The hotel recommended this "restaurant" - it's actually a food truck with a little patio out front with tables. The people working there were super friendly and very nice. It was the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time! Really enjoyed it!

I worked in a fish and chip shop when I was still at school, and so like to think I know a thing or two about them. Plus the fact I'm British and fish and chips are a national dish.. My friend spotted this place and so we checked it out on Tripadvisor.. The food is dished up in a... More

We thought we'd try out one of the highest-rated restaurants during a convention visit to San Francisco, and sought out the Codmother. Almost missed it, it's so tiny. But big things often come in small packages, and if you like fish and chips, this is the ONLY place to go! Of course, that's about all they have, too. But you... More

The woman who took our order was very nice and patient. I ordered the fish and chips and they were fantastic! I have to agree with a previous review - these are better than the fish & chips I had in England too!

Well what a place this is !! Be prepared though its really busy with limited seating....... However the fish and chips are amazing and the place has a great atmosphere. If you are near Fisherman's Wharf this is a real must - worth the wait !!!
