We happened upon this resturant by chance. We were hungry and staying in the inner Richmond area and this happened to have a open table. Boy, am I glad it did. Enjoyed my first visit to Steins, a family run, "Germanish" restaurant/sports bar. Was given friendly service by the small family that owns/runs the restaurant. They have some very good beers on tap, the hard to find Czech Staropramen and the German Spaten Optimator among the best. Salad was good. Very good menu with a nice selection of German beers. Prices are reasonable - service is good - the restaurant was too warm. We will go back.

San Francisco has so much to offer, and Steins, 731 Clement Street is a great new establishment, especially if you want a beer, wine and some great german food. It's new and clean.
