This place is not called Sally's anymore. It is Alfonso Scunatelli's. (I have notified TripAdvisor about this.) We walked by this place a couple of times and we were blown away by the size of the fish and how it looked. We were completely drawn in. It was not a mistake. Oh my gosh. It was some of the most... First, they changed the name to Alfonso scutinellis famous fishwich but trip advisor doesn't recognize the name. I saw this place mentioned in a travel book I bought and was interested in trying out. I got the fish n chips and I don't know what kind of fish it was but it was soggy and mushy. It wasn't cod. The... More

I always get a shrimp sandwich on a sourdough from one of the vendors on the warf when I visit SF. I love them! But my husband wanted something different, so he bought a fish sandwich from Fishwhich. OMG! What a sandwich. So good. Now what am I going to do everytime I come? Curse you Fishwich! Now I have... More

We stopped here for a snack and split a basket of fried shrimp and french fries. We sat out back and looked at the water while we ate. The food and view were very good! Not fancy, but a great place to stop for lunch or an informal dinner.

Great Fishwich - exactly as displayed. Huge piece of fish in Fish & CHips and regular or garlic fries (better like garlic if you have those!) Nice place to eat inside or out.

This restaurant is now Alfonso Scunatelli's as of June 18, 2013. We happened upon this fabulous seafood sandwich place. They had an example of a fish sandwich when we went in which was terrific; we knew what to expect. My husband and I ordered a fishwich and a shrimpwich (which we decided to split both in 1/2 in order to... More

Saw the reviews, and had to stop here our last stroll on Fisherman's Wharf. The Fish sandwich is big enough for 2 people and only $8.00. The sandwich is covered in yummy coleslaw too. There is a little outside seating area adjacent to Sally's were we ate, listened to a street performer play his guitar, and people watched. Best deal... More

Searched for the best fish served al fresco (outside sitting) near the pier (where the ships go to Alcatraz). Came up with Sally's and was pleasantly surprised. Recommend the Fish and Chips but only order the cole slaw as a side if you want a burning sensation on your tongue. Way over done with the vinegar and jalo's. I am... More

It's basically a huge sandwich with fish and coleslaw right on it. Not just regular coleslaw but a hot pickled pepper kind. It tastes amazing! The halfwich is just the same as the big one but with one piece of fish and not two. So it's not much smaller.
