Last time I visited San Francisco we ate breakfast here several times because the coffee and food were so good. This time, not so much. We ordered two Café Americanos (espresso and hot water) and they were so bitter we had to add a bit of milk. My husband had the French toast which had previously been fantastic, this time... More

Had such a bad experience at this restaurant today! The food took SO long to arrive...in the end I had to physically go to the kitchen area to see my order waiting on the side without any of the staff particularly bothered! All of my parties orders were cold probably because of them waiting on the side too. The system... More

Everything was so delicious and fresh and great atmosphere! We had coffee, french toast, omelettes, oatmeal, grilled cheese. All was excellent. Loved sitting both upstairs and downstairs. Cool vibe and great music.

When we stay in this area or if we need a breakfast/lunch spot near MOMA, this is a place we make an effort to go to. It's a cozy layout, walk in and order at the counter and pick a table. Small outside area, too. Great coffee, love the hash browns, and have had good luck with soups.

I came here for lunch one day and had the apple chicken salad (they offered to put avocado since I am a vegetarian- highly recommend) and ended up coming here for breakfast the next morning. They serve breakfast all day, wine and a dinner selection so all meals are covered. It's a great place for a casual meal. As everyone... More

We stayed around the corner at The Palace Hotel and ate here three times; snack, dinner and breakfast. The florentine eggs with rosemary hash browns and fresh o.j. were my fave. You order at the counter, but staff come to the table and ask if you want anything else, all very solicitous. A darling young man (evening manager?) insisted on... More

March 01 2014 10:45 am. We were a family of 8 (one 70 year old grandpa, three 9 year old children and 4 adults). The restaurant had many available tables, but because of "their policies" they wanted us all to make a line, we prefered to sit on a table and have only the 4 adults make a line to... More

My wife has raved about this place to me from her trips to San Fran. I stopped in to grab some cookies and a coffee. The cookies are fabulous and the atmosphere of the place is really fun. I spent an hour reading and eating their fabulous cookies. I bought more and brought them home. Want to have lunch or... More

You have to go and see this place...tree trunks from floor to high ceiling...you feel like you are sitting in a grove. Maybe all their other locations look the same...I've been here 3 times( every time I am in SF). I have been for coffee and rolls/ breakfast and lunch. Food is very good. The cakes look amazing. I haven't... More
