You order at the counter and someone brings your food to you. You get your own jam and other items as well as your own coffee. Good food friendly service. Nice inside. We had breakfast. It was good but they only give you one piece of toast. Not the end of the world but could of eaten a second slice.... More

My fiance and I stumbled by this cute restaurant while walking around, so glad we did! This place had a rustic cabin vibe and was the perfect breakfast spot. There were tables to sit at or a comfy lounge area. It was a great place to sit, chat, eat, and sip lattes for a while. Everything on the menu looked... More

A personal SF fav., for multiple reasons... locally owned & operated, locally sourced, dependable, reasonable, & excellent locations. I frequent the Grove (3 great SF locations) for casual business meetings and when out attending events. Most often going to Franklin/Hayes, it's a good spot when attending Civic Center events (Symphony, Opera, concerts, etc). It can be busy, and a bit... More

Went to The Grove Hayes before going to the theater. There were 4 people in my group and all 4 of us loved our selections!! Two had Cheesesteak (thinly sliced beef with Gruyere cheese on amazing sliced french bread and grilled on a press, with hot & mild peppers and grilled onions), One had a BLT with Avacado that she... I had the chicken pot pie - thought I could use the calories since I was running a half marathon the next morning! Ha! It did not disappoint. Food was fantastic and service was extremely friendly and welcoming.

I went there for lunch with a friend who manted to take me around in the area. The inside room is very noisy, but eating on an outside table is OK to talk. You have to order inside, are given a number on top of a stand, which allows a waiter later to serve you your order at the table.... More

Casual gem in near the Civic Center. Offers meals that won't depress your wallet. Enter, pick your table, choose your items at the counter, pay, and wait for truly delicious fresh food to be brought to you. Although limited, everything eaten here has never disappointed. Don't miss their large chicken apple salad: fresh greens, roquefort cheese, white meat chicken, glazed... More
