I had the chicken pot pie - thought I could use the calories since I was running a half marathon the next morning! Ha! It did not disappoint. Food was fantastic and service was extremely friendly and welcoming.

I went there for lunch with a friend who manted to take me around in the area. The inside room is very noisy, but eating on an outside table is OK to talk. You have to order inside, are given a number on top of a stand, which allows a waiter later to serve you your order at the table.... More

Casual gem in near the Civic Center. Offers meals that won't depress your wallet. Enter, pick your table, choose your items at the counter, pay, and wait for truly delicious fresh food to be brought to you. Although limited, everything eaten here has never disappointed. Don't miss their large chicken apple salad: fresh greens, roquefort cheese, white meat chicken, glazed... More

Cute little place, great iced tea. Friend had the pot pie and it was huge! Other colleague had meatballs. I opted for grilled cheese amd soup and it was quite tasty! Affordable, fast, original....perfect lunch spot!

We had heard a great deal about The Grove, so we went with family one morning. It was very crowed, which we expected, but it appeared they did not. They were overwhelmed: forgotten orders, dazed staff, etc. The omelette I ordered was very good. The orange juice (fresh) was forgotten a couple of times, but delicious. I also didn't like... More

My daughter and I were vacationing in San Francisco for a week and stayed just a couple of blocks away from the Grove. We were out walking one day we stumbled across it and decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly pleased. I loved the layout of the restaurant. It was very casual and comfortable. I love... More

My family and I visited The Grove based on numerous great reviews. Our visit however, was on the contrary. There's no host at the door (or desk/stand) so you're left to stand there until someone notices you. Our waiter, while nice, wasn't very attentive and it took us over an hour to get our food. I was hoping that the... More

There aren't a lot of choices for a reasonably priced meal near the Theater. We found the Grove to be a delicious and casual spot. You order at the back of the restaurant and then take your number to a table. The menu has a lot of options, I had the chicken tacos and others had different salads. All were... More

Popped in for lunch, had a fresh Lemonade, and one of the best BLT's I have ever had in the US, usually the bacon is too thin and crumbles, but this was made with thicker bacon that was not too crispy.

I spent an afternoon here. The food is great with a lot of healthy items on the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The atmosphere is that of a coffee house with tables and livingroom type areas. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, be it the staff behind the register, the bus staff or the manager who circulated making sure... More
