Nice view, lovely food!

Although we hadn't made a reservation, we had a table with the lovely view on Union square. The atmosphere is fantastic! And so was the food. It is not cheap, but wat would you expect in such an evironment? It was worth every cent.

Love the place. We got a table in exactly one hour. The waitress was really friendly and gave us some good suggestions. The seating area is just lovely and relaxing. The food tasted sooooo good. I personally had the quinoa pasta. It was the best pasta I ever had in my life. I loved it. If you are planning to... More

I've probably had lunch at over 20 Neiman Marcus' around the country. None of them has a dining room with such a spectacular setting as this one. But none of the other Neiman Marcus restaurants have a check in staff that is as pissy and as rude as this one. The maître d' and check in staff were judgmental, rude... More

Come here for the amazing views and perfect service. This landmark restaurant is worth the price. The food was great, but I expect my daughters will most remember the complimentary hot popovers and strawberry jam. My girls felt like high royalty because of the attentive servers and fancy atmosphere. We kept joking that it was a "pinkies up" event.

I treated my wife to a memorable lunch at The Rotunda on our first visit to San Francisco. I had followed advise to book in advance as this is a very popular lunchtime venue. The setting is wonderful with a a view overlooking Union Square. The stained glass ceiling is from the City of Paris store which originally stood on... More

I've eaten here before but many, many years ago. This time around, I came with two sisters. We started our meal with the consomme, warm popover and berry butter. My sister ordered the nicoise. My other sister and I split the flat iron steak sandwich (special of the day) and Chinese chicken salad. I liked it that the server already... More

I had lunch with my family, and we all enjoyed very much! The appetizers were delicious, and our lunch was excellent. The waiters are very friendly. Make reservations, as it gets packed during lunch hours.

I live in Northern California, I mean way north of San Francisco, 285 Miles north actually. So we come to "the city" ever so often. I always begin my shopping a Neiman's on Union Square at the Chanel counter where Rocky Zion works his magic for me. That's always followed my my trip up four flights of escalators to The... More

The Rotunda is my favorite lunch place at Union Square. The food is delicious. The popovers are served with strawberry butter; they are well known for them. The restaurant is at the top of the building right under the huge vintage skylight. It is gorgeous, unusual and special. Remember that this stylish restaurant is at the top of Neiman Marcus.... We dine at the Rotunda every New Years morning. This year we went to the restaurant twice as we enjoyed it so much. The view is fun, overlooking Union Square. The service is the best. The "puffy pastry" with strawberry butter is incredible. Every meal and the service are excellent. Highly recommend it.
