So simple. So good. The menu is minimalist, like the decor. And both tasteful. Very good grilled cheese. Excellent smoked trout salad. Dropped that on doorsteps of buttered toast. Getting routine to know where all ingredients derive.

Came here for brunch with 4 friends, whom I was staying with in the sunset district. Being that it was bay to breakers we figured it would be packed. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated, which didn't seem too bad considering the reviews I have read. We were seated inside where the decor is lovely and inviting. We... More

If you are planning to enjoy a weekend day in Golden Gate Park, first go to Outerlands and order some of their gorgeous sandwiches. We had chicken one and open egg-bacon sandwich as well as the grilled Cheese sandwich... Perfect. However house coffee was quite bad. We ordered brownie, it was warm and tasty. Music is a bit too loud... More

As usual this restaurant is packed even on a Monday at 2PM it is a 40 minute wait. The food is well prepared and always served warm, I like this you can count on a good warm meal. For me while I enjoy the Outerlands it isn't a great restaurant. Why?? Because the menu is so limited in it's offering... More

Great atmosphere. The architecture and styling is really nice and welcoming in Outerlands. We had a nice 45 minute wait outside. Great time to sit and chat. Had coffee down the street while we waited. Tasty food. We had the specialty pancakes and the crunchy egg benedict.

This restaurant is awesome. My friend and I met for a weekend brunch. You need patience because the waiting averages between 1-1 1/2 hours. Just put your name on the list as soon as you get there. The menu consists of breakfast and sandwiches. We both had the "eggs in jail": two slices of French toast with an egg sandwiched... More

The title says it all. My daughter, wife and I waited only 45 minutes for a table. Short time for this restaurant. When we sat at the counter, Travis took care of us. His recommendations to start with the Sticky Bun with strawberries was fabulous. The pastry chef has hit a homerun. We then ordered three dishes to share. Eggs... More

We were visiting San Francisco for a second time and found Outerlands by reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is beautiful with weathered wood walls and concrete floors. Every last detail was well thought-out, right down to the ceramic cup and pen holder in which they present the bill - adorable! There was quite a wait when we go there,... More

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for brunch knowing in advance we'd be waiting a while to be seated. We were right - our wait was almost an hour. (In that time you can go next door and wait in line for 20 minutes at Trouble Coffee Co to get some fancy toast to hold you over!) Being from out... More
