Very good Thai food

We found this restaurant by chance, walking back to our hotel through the Tenderloin. It was a quiet night and we had no problem being seated immediately. Service was very attentive and the meal was wonderful. My wife ordered a coconut lemongrass soup that was more complex and flavourful than any... read more

Food was amazing as was the atmosphere with excellent trance and progressive music playing which was a personal favorite for me! Do yourself a favor and try the weird menu items. For us, frogs legs were a highlight as was the five spice duck and everything else we ate was amazing. If you're not a huge chili/heat fan ask them... More

I was seriously disappointed after all the outstanding reviews for this place. Bland, cold, long wait. I'll go elsewhere for Thai.

I have been to the other two Lers Ros and love their food. My favorite is the Hayes St. location. The acoustics was awful and between combination of the live music and the people talking, it was way too loud making it very uncomfortable. The food was salty and my friend returned one dish. The coconut soup was watery. This... More

Friend recommended this little place so we popped in for a late lunch. VERY simple accommodations, seating is a stool. but food was outstanding, and service just superb.

My wife and I have been coming here for several years. A friend of ours who is Thai believes that Lers Ros has declined in quality. That may be, but it's still very good, at least for the non-purist. And still an utterly unique restaurant and menu. You can order alligator, for instance. I haven't ever experienced trouble with the... More

For me, this was a real find. The location is surprising (Tenderloin District) and you have to wait a bit even with a reservation, but the food is wonderful. It's the kind of food you savor for hours afterward. The blend of spice with unusual taste sensations is super, provided your taste runs to spicy curries. We found the service... More

First, this place is in a very skechy area so be careful and yes, the menu consists of different dishes than other ordinary Thai eateries but, it was not that impressive. Portions are quite small for the price. Most of all, they will watch your table like a hawk and try to take away the plate as soos as the food... More

Yes ...yes the location is Tenderloin but in a way it is great that restaurants and other projects are moving in the location to revitalize the area... the first time I had lunch there I ordered a curry with eggplant and although the curry was delicious, the eggplant was literally raw.. I mentioned this to the waitress and she was... More

Ok we are all always looking for that amazing hole in the wall place that combines amazing food with exceptional value in a quaint comfortable setting. Lers Ros offers 2 of the 3 above stated qualifications. The food is excellent the price is medium to extreme in terms of value and the setting is comfortable and basic. Located in a... More
