Thai food while in SF

I came here to try their crispy pork that has been said to taste similar like Pa Ord in LA. People got it wrong though. Lers Ros' crispy pork had its own taste and way of being served in our table. I had the pad see ew which tasted great also. The restaurant was already crowded even before dinner... read more

This place is authentic and offers a great variety of Thai foods. Its a small place that is loud (on our day there was live Thai music which we enjoyed, but made it harder to talk). Service was quick and friendly. The Beef Salad was AMAZING, the flavor on the beef was soo goood. The chicken curry was not good.... More

As with every wannabe upscale Thai restaurant, one has to ask, is there any substance to its claim to be a cut above the rest. With Lers Ros, there isn't. Service was inept and incooperative; when I requested for catfish in my curry (a normal request in a Thai place), I was refused, and what I got instead, was no... More

Great food, spicy upon request, reasonably Thai as well. Staff was quite friendly, but the sports on the screens took away some of the charm of the place.

Wow! Really great Thai food. Delicious. Sizable meals - 4 of us shared 3 mains and it was more than enough. Extensive menu - almost a little too much to consider. Great atmosphere. Busy late into the night. Loses points for being extremely hot and stuffy. My party of 3 girls love being cosy but this was stifling. Open the... More

This is a review of the site on 16th -- not sure TripAdvisor put me in the right place here! The noodle soup was excellent; and I understand everything else was as well! Be prepared, however, for super spicy food! There is no warning, no little numbers of stars on the menu; it comes spicey. It turns out my noodle... More

Good Thai is easy to find, however GREAT Thai food is rare. After many recommendations, I finally took the plunge to try Lers Ros. The menu is eclectic (rabbit, alligator and quail are featured). Portions are HUGE, and, as typical with many Thai places, one entree can easily be shared by two people. We started out with a deep fried... More

If there's one thing you should expect from a Thai restaurant, it's flexibility with their menu. Most restaurants would prepare your curry or noodles with what you want and the way you want, even if slightly off the menu. So, if you want a pumpkin curry with duck and it's off menu, just ask for it, and if the duck's... More

We had walked by the night before and saw a huge line up. We decided to try it out the next night, our last in San Francisco. I only wish we had discovered it sooner. The food was absolutely incredible! Our food was served promptly and was piping hot. The portions were large, and the prices were reasonable. On top... More

I heard about this restaurant through United Airlines and it worked out great. It is best to make a reservation since there is not much seating. The food is great and their Thai tea is awesome! This restaurant is in a sketchy part of town so I would recommend a cab to and from the restaurant not the bus or... More
