Good pasta

Cavernous Italian restaurant on Lombard Street. Last visited several years ago on trip to the city - still just as good. The atmosphere was buzzing although to a large extent this was due to the trio of handlers taking calls for deliveries. Attentive service from out waiter. Excellent fettuccine... read more

Cavernous Italian restaurant on Lombard Street. Last visited several years ago on trip to the city - still just as good. The atmosphere was buzzing although to a large extent this was due to the trio of handlers taking calls for deliveries. Attentive service from out waiter. Excellent fettuccine Alfredo and probably the best New York cheesecake I've ever had.... More

We visited here as a group of 6 including 3 adults and 3 children. The service was fast and friendly. The children were quickly provided with crayons and colouring in activities and there was space for the pram. The food was delicious. We loved the pizza's and surprisingly polished 3 off between us adults. A wonderful dinner. Would definitely return... More

I always see Cars with its delivery logo so we want to try it. Nothing special. Pizza is small, not delivered presentably. Not so pleasing. They did not even have a holder at the center to hold the pizza so it was all over the box. It tastes nasty too!! So far, the worst Pizza i ever tasted in SF!

Went here for dinner especially as our daughter is gluten free-coeliac. Had garden salad, wings, and two pizzas all gf and really nice. The waitress had great knowledge of gf and knew what food was suitable- there is a seperate gf menu and explains how they cook the pizzas on raised trays and seperate prep areas etc. our daughter is... Had the BEST clam linguini ever at Amici's on Lombard. The entire meal, salad, dessert and don't forget the awesome garlic breadsticks as well, were truly amazing. The only thing that topped the entire experience with a Christmas tree star, or in this case, five star, was our wonderful, handsome and FANTASTIC waiter Pedro. I would HIGHLY recommend this to... We tried out Amici's East Coast Pizzeria because it was conveniently located to our hotel. It's located in a large, open airy space which can be loud, with football games up on the big screen. The pizza was tasty and lots of different toppings are available but this had to be the thinnest crust I have ever seen. You could... More

We had a pizza here which was amazing, a bit pricey but overall it was very enjoyable pizza, service and quality. They closed the restaurant by 22:00 so we felt in a rush to finish our food.

I wanted a small warm dish-- waitress suggested regular spaghetti with a kid portion of one meatball. That's what I did and it was enough. Food was good, bread was great and the server was doing her job very well. Negative? Pretty noisy... several birthday parties etc.

Amici's made us a good pizza in their open- brick style oven. If I was craving a pizza and I was in the area, I would surely stop back but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. It was good but not amazing. We had a spinach, mushroom, feta Mediterranean style pizza (add red sauce) on a... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
