We ordered the nabeyaki udon, hot soba noodles with vegetables.. The food was very average....The soup base was flavorful and no mountain vegetables in the soba noodle as described in the menu..ie false advertising in menu..

Dojima-Ann offers a wide range of Japanese cuisine. Most of the items available are pretty average and includes udon, soba, donburi, sushi, and more. Nothing really stands out, and aside from the sushi, you could probably make these dishes better at home. Service is spotty and they like to rush you out since for some reason, it's a pretty busy... Great little find just off union square. Authentic Japanese flavors and dishes. We've had dinner here, ordered sushi and a rice meal set and udon noodles. Very good, if we had more time in SF we would go again!

maybe I shouldn't review this restaurant because I am not familiar with this type of food. But, I wanted to try it. The servers either couldn't or wouldn't help me order. couldn't understand or speak English very well. The sushi was good. The chicken in the teriyaki was fair (had some fat on it) and the noodles were thick and... More

This was a welcomed meal after a few days on the road eating badly. We had some lovely fresh sushi and a tasty udon soup although if I'm being picky the vegetable tempura was a little oily but not enough that I wouldn't order it again lol. We also had the oyakodon which was also nice a fresh. All in... More

What we ate: - shrimp tempura on rice with miso soup - beef curry - hot noodle soup (vegetarian) + It was a delicious and affordable dinner. The staff was very friendly and made this place even better. The taste of the food was very good, I've never eaten that good tempura. We were all full-full afterwards and paid just... More

A friend of ours recommended this place and we wanted to give it a try while visiting Union Square. We were aware that the place could be crowded so we went slightly early and we were seated right away. We were excited to finely eat again authentic and simple Japanese food after our trip to Japan. The menu is not... More

I have stopped in here several times when walking back to the Hilton from the Powell BART station. I like this place because within 10 minutes, I can be back on my way to my hotel with my sushi to go. I'm a pretty basic sushi lover... I generally get the salmon sashimi and the shrimp tempura roll. Service is... More

Very small restaurant with excellent original Japanese dishes at an affordable price. Expect up to 10 min to be sited, the place has high demand for its size. Also is very usual to see a lot of Japanese customers dinning. The place is good to share time and chat with a partner. It is not a romantic place.
