We came here for a light meal after our flight from the UK. The tempura was sensational. If you're looking for a place where you get a lot of staff interaction like lots of places in San Francisco this isn't the place for you. This was just right for us.

Decent meal of soba and udon soup. We came back (consecutively for 2 days) because it the food is good and the price is reasonable for its range. Would recommend the noodles more than sushi roll though. My edamame was nicely warm and just a tad salty so good I finish almost all of it.

We had a dinner here (California Rolls, NY rolls) and they were very good. Also the 49ers were looking excellent on a nearby table, next time we'll definitely try them out.

You don't feel welcome, it's hard to get a smile, the food is average. The restaurant is not clean. Not recommended at all!

Nice food- You get a lot and it is HEALTHY and light, not fat and grose. I will come again. It is not an romantic place, but we will still go here first and then later to a par to get wine:)

The best value for Japanese food in the Union Square Area. One of the best signs for good food is a restaurant that is always busy and this defines Dojima Ann. It is very close to Hotel Nikko and is frequented by many of its patrons, a large portion who are from Japan. My Bento box with Potato Croquettes and... More

We went to Dojima-Ann for lunch and were not disappointed. It was a great meal at a great price in the midst of downtown San Francisco. We did have to wait for over a half hour for a table and the waitress was not very friendly, but the food was really fresh and authentic Japanese cuisine. We ordered a bento... More

Visiting SF can be very expensive. Hotels, taxis, restaurants. Multiply by family of 4, and a night's eating out can easily hit $150. So, while I was walking, I saw a line outside this small eatery at 3 PM. Came back with the family for dinner. We all agreed it was excellent udon (many varieties). Most under $15. Easy to... More

Had a terrific lunch here of tempura and udon noodles. The restaurant is quite small with tightly packed tables. There is a large selection of Japanese dishes including sushi and sashimi. The cost is very reasonable for the quality and size of portions. My only complaint was the crush at the door waiting to get a table. Service was good.... More
