We went in to the lounge two times and waited 15 minutes - never saw a server and was ignored standing at the bar. At least we got to use the restrooms
It's worth noting two things. First, the lounge has moved to the Fisherman's Wharf area. Second, there's no food here--just drinks. With that said I had a fun and enjoyable time here with their decent selection of draft beers and variety of mixed drinks. They have a very long bar, and frequently have live musicians playing at night. With a... More

Terrific comedy and music by Johnny Z and the Camaros, tons of terrific people (tourists and locals alike), great drink prices. Felt like I belonged and met many new friends. The history of this place is terrific, although somewhat disappointed that it's not the original location. Get Tasio to tell you the story!! I'll be back.
With their new location at Fisherman Wharf we were surprised to see an old friend singing is heart out and brining smiles to tourist and locals alike. The drinks are just as good and the bathrooms are brand new! Be sure to sit by the piano and have an open mind as you will become part of the song and... More
Walking through the tourist filled streets, we were pleasantly surprised to hear our favorite singer/musician/comedian Frank O'Comnor. We stopped in to hang out with Frank for a few laughs and a couple of drinks. Frank never disappoints! The service for drinks was great, drinks were cold, and the atmosphere was very nice. Will definitely return to tip a glass or... More
My husband and I ducked into the Gold Dust Lounge to escape the crowds at the Wharf and loved this place. It's dark, decorated very cool and the beer prices are cheaper than other places in the area. The owner gave us a little history on the place and why it's in a new location. Hopefully the Gold Dust Lounge... More
We happened upon this lounge as we were meandering down the Wharf. We were attracted by the live music. It was great. Elizabeth was our bartender the first night. She was very friendly and attentive. We returned the second night after much disappointment at a hand full of other night spots. Ashton (I believe was his name) was working hard... More
Bartender was great tall brunette but really nice girl. Drinks were very reasonable and somehow I left two cards instead of one at the bar. Gladly the owner hooked me up the next day. Thanks sir I had an awesome time and your staff is great. Best dark bar I've been too, but clean and friendly.
The Gold Dust Lounge moved from Union Square to the Wharf. They made it nice and new, but it still looks old. We happened upon the new location by accident, on a walk. We had to stop in for a beer even though it was barely noon! That's what vacations are for
