Absolutely worth the money

Not only is the food extraordinary, but the presentations are unique. The wine pairings are equally good. For a special dinner I think it is better than the other San Francisco restaurants in the same price range.

I was not impressed unfortunately. Ive been to many two star/three star michelin restaurants and was looking forward to checking out the molecular gastronomy at Athelier Crenn. I also really care about flavorful food...one of the experiences I want is that with each bite, I don't want another bite to end. So our reservations were at 9 pm. When we... More

Atelier Crenn is one of those rare restaurants that remians vividly in memory long after the experience has ended. Food as a sensory experience is celebrated here, and the guest is fully absorbed from the first bite. We were satisfied and still comfortable after the 19th small course. Despite the care with which the menu is prepared and executed, they... More

I haven't been to SF before & this place was highly recommended by someone from La Folie restaurant which was also an amazing experience. Anyway, I highly recommend this place as I requested vegetarian & seafood menu & it was simply unbelievable!

This was an amazing experience. This was like going to an art gallery where you ate the pieces. I took my wife and my parents here as a special bday/anniversary type event. The staff was amazing, the presentation was the best I've ever seen. The food was delicious.

Chef Crenn puts together an amazing combination of culinary delights - unique presentations that make for an unforgettable dining experience. I was fortunate enough to visit restaurant Crenn recently with 2 friends and we all were all raving about all 18 courses of the Prix fixe menu. The $220- cost is not for everyone, but considering the elements and care of... When we booked this restaurant, we checked their web page and it said they had two menus one with $125 and one with $195. We were planning the small menu. When we got there, they told us that that only the large menu is available. So we said yes because we had already gone there. Then when the bill came... More

We went on a recommendation from a friend that has dinned here several times. They gave us a poem that was to serve as the menu. We were there on a Friday. The menu was fixed. The wine paring was $150.00 per person. There was a $80.00 paring but that was not available to diners on Friday or Saturday. Atmosphere... More

I'd say it's rather good here. You'll need very very deep pockets but by gum it is quite superb. There are probably no other places in the world where the grand tasting menu is 17 courses, each one representing a line of a poem, which serves as the menu. There are 2 options and 2 wine pairings. My view is... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
