Fantastic wine list, great food, superlative service in a charming setting

I really enjoyed Seven Hills. The best thing about this beautiful little restaurant, richly designed, is the service: they were friendly, and attentive but not obsequious; ready with advice, but not opinionated. I really enjoyed Seven Hills. The best thing about this beautiful little restaurant, richly designed, is the service: they were friendly, and attentive but not obsequious; ready with advice, but not opinionated. Came here based on recommendations and was not disappointed at all. Small menu with very interesting dishes.. from the ravioli ovuo to the fish of the day.. everything had lots of flavor and very different tastes. even the simple pasta with tomatoes was rich in flavor.

Reservations need to be made as this local intimate restaurant is full every night of the week. Alex, the owner, makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food, service and ambience are excellent.

I walked over to Seven Hills last night based upon the favorable reviews it has received on Trip Advisor. I was not disappointed! I sat at the bar (space for four) and Nick, the manager, took great care of me. Everything was excellent - the bite-sized amuse-bouche, the bread, the pasta dish, the local, fresh black cod fish-of-the-day and the... More

My husband and I were in SF for a quick anniversary weekend get-away. This was by far, our best meal of the trip. We decided to share a pasta trio and let the waiter guide us as to our best options. He encouraged us to order dishes we normally wouldn't have and we were so thankful. They were DELICIOUS...each in... More

There are many options for Italian dining in the Nob Hill area of San Francisco and we have tried several - with mixed results. However, Seven Hills is a stand alone winner for the warm welcome, genuine customer service and amazing food. An overall terrific dining experience. Our waiter had excellent knowledge of each dish and took time to discuss... More

We had a group of 6 for dinner. It is a very small restaurant and might not be the best place for a large group of people. Our group tried several appetizers- the meat balls were the best. Seafood was also enjoyed. Those who had pasta in red sauce thought it was some of the best they ever had. This... More

I was only in San Fran for two nights and researched places to eat and Seven Hills was one that popped up on the best lists and I have to say it did not disappoint in any way. From the moment I entered everyone was very warm and welcoming. The menu is small but concise and there is something for... More

I'm torn, because they deserve the praise, but it's a quiet little neighborhood restaurant that I want to stay that way. I visited on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar next to a fellow traveler who assured me that he eats there every time he is in town. Alex, the owner, is a friendly host who makes you... More

We made a reservation for saturday night and were promptely seated when we got there. The burrata is the best I have ever tried in the U.S. All the staff is friendly, especially Mike who was great all night long.
