My husband and I dined her last night. We are newcomers to the area and are thrilled to have found Seven Hills. The food was excellent. We both had the halibut special, which was perfect! Not over cooked and accompanied with a small bed of baby vegetables--peas, Japanese turnips, potatoes, etc. These to were perfect. Ravioli Uovo was melt-in-your mouth... More

I chose Seven Hills because of the reviews on TA and wanted a neighborhood feel. It did not disappoint. They have a great wine list - try one of the lesser known Italians - they are great! The food selections were all interesting and everything was tasty and lovely to look at. Always order the special if the day because... More

We were in SF for business and decided to try Seven Hills. We weren't disappointed! Alex greeted us warmly and he and Naz (the server) helped us with our choices. Everything looked so good that we shared 6 dishes (and we're not huge eaters!). Two nights later my husband had a business dinner so I was on my own. I... More

First you put your cozy little eatery minutes from a great great shopping area like union square and then after serving me a great glass of house red you force me to choke down a wonderful bowl of soup and two pieces of great grainy. Bread. Where you guys get off following that up a wonderful black pasta dish I... More

Seven hills is a great neighborhood restaurant. I always enjoy going for dinner with friend or family. The menu is innovative and changes with what is fresh and in season. Seven hills is beautifully decorated and has a very intimate and romantic ambiance. The chef knows the beauty of simplicity and respecting the ingredients while still keeping it interesting. They... Cramped? The waiters could not easily service each table. Perhaps in Italy they do that. My wife and I shared a beet salad and an appetizer of marinated artichokes with mozzarella. Both very dignified and delicate. The BIG flavors came with the entrees: spaghetti with a spicy pesto and a braised lamb shank with garden vegetables. Everything tied together with... More

We ate dinner here in January and it was very good. We made reservations thinking we could sit in the bar and have a cocktail pre-funk, but they dont have a bar (nor does anyone else in the neighborhood, we discovered). But they seated us 30 minutes early, which was great. It is a little cramped in there, but it... More

Seven Hills is one of my favorite italian restaurants in SF. It is a small italian restaurant in which everything is made on the premises. I would encourage you to not book a large dinner party, it is really meant for small groups of 4 (6 max). Reservations are a must! The service is excellent and the restaurant clearly has... More

Had a great meal this week at Seven Hills, I popped in and sat at the bar. Unfortunately I did not get to sample any of the wines as I was driving but the wine list was very tempting and I will have to return with a designated driver soon. Started with the Di Stefano Burrata, personally I love Chickpeas... More

The food here was really great. I ordered 2 half entrees. I had the kale/mushroom tagliatelle, and the crab risotta. Both were tremendous. But, I felt like like the experience was rushed, the food almost came out too fast. I would go back, but there are so many options in SF that I probably will not.
