We had octopus, smoked trout, tagliatelle with shaved truffles, and lamb chops. Everything was good, but I would pass on the truffles, which were expensive and really had no flavor. Tables are very close together, which for some reason is always so noisy in this country, whereas in Europe, they often put tables very close yet everyone speaks softly. We... More

Very unique menu with dishes you will not find anywhere. Take the recommendation of the great staff and share plates. Tables are close- tough for intimate conversation. A must for SF visit.

This is one of the finest restaurants I have ever eaten at. The owner (Alex) is really on the ball. Do I smell a Michelin star in the near future?

OMG, this restaurant is the bomb! A small, quaint, enjoyable, dining experience. I have to say that we had probably one of the best meals. The pasta is exquisite. The chef is a genius. I will be going back and recommending, this restaurant, to everyone I know. You will need reservations, it is well worth it.

Make sure you book well in advance, this is a very small, but very excellent restaurant. Friendly, unassuming service. If you appreciate good food, good wine and good service then go to Seven Hills. And even better - get the cable car there, it stops right outside.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant and we were very glad he did. It's a small 2 room space in Nob Hill/ Russian Hill that appears to be an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant. Our dinner was excellent. They were out of the fabled ravioli as there was a staff excursion to a farm that day leaving no time for them to... More

This meal was fantastic. Our party of four had a lovely table looking out the window. Our server was very knowledgeable and engaging without being fake or pushy which I cannot stand. He made excellent suggestions which lead to a memorable meal. I started with the burrata which was as fresh and flavorful as can be. I found the pairings... More

Recommended by friends, this restaurant was jam packed - we had to wait in the wine bar opposite. Menu interesting, starter portions small - pasta very tasty but portions small unless you ordered main course size. It was tasty - wine list good and expensive. Our waiter was excellent and most informative. Would I go there again ? Maybe, but... More

Made reservations to catch up with some good friends that lived in the area. We had all of us getting to the restaurant at different times, but the restaurant was very patient and accommodating. Feels very local. Has great food and wine list. The wait staff certainly know the menu and are not afraid to understand what you desire and... More

Overall our meal was delicious! Wonderful bottle of brunello along with buratta and two different pasta dishes. Small so we could sample! The flatiron was good but wasn't the best steak I've ever had. I like when a restaurant courses out dinner and allows time in between, but this was a bit too slow. I began to think that the... More
