this food is so authentic and you have the feeling you are on a market in Thailand in the middle of SF! No reservation, fast service and the food comes soon after you ordered..., cash only. You can see the cooks working and everything seems to be fresh. I was there twice… LOVED it

The food was definitely worth the price. One of the most delicious Thai restaurants in the area; be prepared to wait some time, though, as the place is always crowded.

Very authentic... Every time I'm in SF I make sure I visit this gem... Quick service... I love # 12 and the pad see ew...it's cash only and first come first served... Hole in the wall.. But that adds to the taste... Just like BKK

this review is coming from someone who has eaten real Thai food in Thailand, many times. I have searched and searched to find something outside if Thailand that can compare, this little gem, in the heart of union square, is the closest I have found! The Tom kha gai soup is almost better than my favorite Thai restaurant in Bangkok!... More

I only ordered Thai style sour and spicy fired rice. It has shrimp, mushroom, tomatoes, egg cucumber in it. Just so yummy.

Have eaten here many times over the years. Thai food served by Thai people, you can't get more authentic than that. The food quality is very good with all the usual well known Thai dishes. Good for a quick cheep eat,

This is a very busy hole in the wall in downtown SF. It does an amazing biz and the food is top notch in my opinion. The portions are generous and served quickly and fresh. The prices are extremely affordable, about half what I pay in VA for less food. Tom Yung Gung is the best ever, anywhere!

This little restaurant was a great find! Looks almost like a narrow take-out window from outside, but actually has quite a few tables inside. Very friendly staff. Service was a little slow, but then no one rushed me to eat and leave. The food was tasty and plentiful. I had BBQ pork spare ribs, steamed rice and a simple lettuce... More

Was walking along the Union Square when I came across this restaurant , had to wait to be seated as its always busy. To be safe I ordered the Tom Yum , I was surprised with the portion it was huge ( not an appetizer ) so it was great had a option or Noodle or Rice to be served... More

Great food, great price, great location. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant stayed busy. Very friendly. The Thai iced tea was really terrible, but the food was delicious! eat in or take away available, and it is cash only.
