Delicious food!

Delicious food (I'm puerto rican what can I say?) but the space is too small, we went on a Saturday night and it was so crowded that it was uncomfortable, but the food is outstanding. I had the pastelon yummy!

4 people, 4 different dishes, we tried each and they were superb! Two members of the party are celiac, no problems with finding a great selection too!

I ordered the Sampler Platter because I got to try a variety of things! I didn't expect the portions to be so big, but everything was delicious and I finished all of it! The staff was friendly and service was good. I'd definitely return if I'm in San Francisco.

Found this place on trip advisor after searching for something a little lies touristy than the bay restaurants - the reviews were right and I am so glad we made the effort to get on a bus and visit the area. We had dinner and a jug of sangria. The restaurant is small and welcoming with a lovley friendly atmosphere... More

Wow, this was an awesome authentic meal. Huge portions, and good honest PR food. Save room for a flan for dessert - best I've had, hands down. Friendly assertive service. Great atmosphere. Loved it.

The restaurant is tiny and not in a great area but if you want delicious Puerto Rican food this is the placed to go. We waited for over a hour but it was worth the wait. We had the pastelon, bistec con cebolla, and the shrimp mofongo. All four of us cleaned our plates. We are a mixed family -... More

We were in the area, saw this place was near by on trip advisor app and thought we'd try it. SO GLAD WE DID! I've never had Caribbean food before and this makes me want more! I had the camarones which is a salad with shrimp. It was so much more than a simple salad. The shrimp was sautéed with... More

Stopped here with my husband and cousin and really enjoyed the food. Being born and raised in Puerto Rico, I found the menu had some traditional dishes like Pastelon and it was very good. Highly recommend it if you like flavorful Caribbean food.

Very casual Puerto Rican cafe and restaurant, try the roasted pork, plantains, rice, beans, and salad plate. Huge portions of perfectly roasted pork. Well worth a trek to this end of the Haight!

I really liked this place- the vegetarian option was fresh, abundant and varied. The staff were friendly (and willing to accommodate changes), without being intrusive. My friend really enjoyed the pork dish. I'd definitely visit again.

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighborhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighborhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
