Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like good Italian food and have theater tickets to the Golden Gate Theater. Our waitress was from northern Italy and the food was some of the best Italian food I've had in the Bay area. I enjoyed the special crab agnolotti dish and my companions enjoyed the bucatini amatriciana and the grilled lamb... More

Okay, I will admit I have eaten in this restaurant at least once or twice a month since it opened 4 years ago. The food is amazing! The menu is seasonal and always represents what are the best available ingredients. Even though I adore the Roman style artichokes I can only get them in season. This is a Roman restaurant... More

This hidden gem is the best Italian place in town for sure, don't be fool and try to look for Italian food in north beach. for appetizer we share the octopus salad and the suppli, both were really good. They have as special a pappardelle with lamb ragu, that was amazing. Coming back for sure when I will be in... More

Great place for a visit with friends or business partners. Great service, food is tasty and in pretentious. Ordered the Pepe pasta a classic roman dish and it hit the spot. The prosciutto was fresh and the tomato mozzarella croquettes just right in terms of crispness. All in all great dinner.

Interesting menu at this location near Union Square. It has an Italian farmhouse feel with a very cool vibe. Great beer selections, wines and cocktails. The food was delicious. I had the Sea Bass, very good.

Easy and nice place for having a business lunch. Small so a reservation is recommended. Food is good and the menue is not overloaded.

Out of the way restaurant close to union square. The food offerings are not typical Italian with a nice mix of pasta and seafood offerings. Octopus appetizer was outstanding. The pasta was very fresh. Dining area is very open and very busy. The wine selection was excellent. We visited on a very busy pre-holiday night and the staff was quite... More

54 Mint is tucked away and you have to seek it out. It's south of Market and close to Union Square, but it is not right on the street, so you wouldn't pass by it if touring around. Extensive wine list and well-prepared Italian food. If you grew up with an Italian grandmother cooking for you, the menu will disappoint... More

Nice stuff, the waiter was a loquacious italian that we liked a lot, the food was very good. We had: misticanza- good salad, must try, also pizzetta- was not very good- don`t try it, also octopus- delicious and soupli- very very good. For main course I tried gnocchi al ragu- excellent and for desert it a selection of tiramisu, lemon... More

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
