My partner and I went for brunch there and it was absolutely amazing. AD was fabulous and the food delicious. The music was so good I wanted to buy the playlist and the whole experience was my favourite in San Francisco. Definitely go. AD is so genuine and as a result really wants you to have a great time. It's... More

Read about the Red Door on-line and decided to give it a try. It is not the easiest place to find, intentionally I am sure. We were greeted by Ahmad and he approved of us coming into his restaurant, no mean feat to accomplish we learned. The decor is not the typical type you might expect while having breakfast. The... We loved this place! It was so unique, intimate and enjoyable. You need to have a desire to have fun and lighthearted to go here. Ahmed is hilarious! The french toast was delicious.

We were here on a day when A.D. (the apparently uproarious owner) was out for a wedding, so maybe it's better on other days. We found the food only mediocre: it's good vegetarian/vegan fare, but slathered in so much sauce you almost need a bib. The decor is trying-too-hard over the top: too many phallic items and postcards that, if... More

The red door is an experience not to be missed. AD is entertaining and fun. Don't go if you are a homophobic at all. Don't wear sunglasses, don't take a coffee cup, smile and you will be allowed to dine there. The food had a Cuban flair to it, very good. We shared the pumpkin French toast, unbelievable!! Very fun... More

Food was excellent, service was a little slow, but to be fair it's super busy. It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy some fresh seafood. The drinks were delicious!

This place rocks. If your homophobic or a prude at all then don't come here. The Red Door is a truely unique experience that is worth visiting. The food is very good and tasty. As long as your not the prudish conservative type you cant help but love this place. I went to SF for the 4th of July weekend... More

Well let me tell you this place is AWESOME! Let me start with Ahmed he is a character made our time there enjoyable to the max. The food is very good and the coffee or hot chocolate is served in a bowl!! This place should be on your list to stop by when ever you visit San Francisco! But be... More

The food is terrible. Terrible flavors, terrible execution. This is like a menu created by a bunch of middle schoolers. I assume people like this place because of the non-food experience. It has the potential to be the funniest eating experience or a complete disaster. It could be funny if you know to read the instructions on posted on the... More

Read some of the reviews and thought we would give it a try. Missed the part about not seating more than 3. Needless to say we were turned away. But it was by whom or what that turned us away that made the trip worth it. A ruffled underwear, cowboy booted, glittered paisty wearing host. And that was his total... More
