I had been to the Cupertino Alexander's, so expectations were high. I was not disappointed. And I don't eat beef often, but when I do...this is the place to indulge. Our waiter, Mr. Brady, was extremely knowledgeable and full of excellent suggestions. Rather than individual servings, he suggested a platter presentation of three cuts for the four of us, which... .....Typical American steakhouse with a Japanese ‘flair’……...I had the ‘perfect porterhouse’ and it was the first time I’d had it presented without the bone…..Service was the best I had the entire time in San Francisco….Wait staff was attentive, without being too intrusive…….Overall I’d go back again and again…..

There is a good reason reservations are easily available for SF Alexander's Steakhouse, even at the last minute. I am a HUGE fan of the Cupertino Alexander's; based upon past experience at the Cupertino location, my expectations were high; unfortunately they were dashed. :( We started with the Edamame in warm truffle butter. It was quite good; nothing amazing, but... More

The wine selection is fabulous! The steak offerings are beyond INCREDIBLE...I'm still dreaming about the Wagyu Grade A-5 Beef we had!!! The service was impeccable! An incredibly memorable dinner!!!

My fiance brought me to Alexander's for my birthday, and we are both so glad that he did. Of all the amazing places to eat in San Francisco, it was a difficult choice narrowing down a restaurant, but he did an excellent job by picking Alexander's! Everything from the decor, to ambiance, to service, to the meal was an incredible... More

this is the rating for tomahawk chop and wagyu Tomahawk is way too salty out the outside, skin kinda burnt, understandable since is thick and need to cook a long time. But inside is not much flavor and not tender as I was expected. Would pick the regular boned in rib eye over this anytime. Wagyu is disappointing, they serve... More

We ate at Alexander's and we are still talking about it weeks later! The service was out of this world. The servers appeared from nowhere and described our cuisine with enthusiasm. Our food was presented as if it were a prized gift to us from the chef. The cocktails were delightful...like drinking flowers bathed in citrus. The steaks were quite... More

I was here as part of a group event so we had a private room downstairs, we were at the bar for a while and could tell that it was pretty lively and noisy, I am glad for the privacy of the room so we could actually talk. The food was preselected so I didn't get to see the full... More

Alexander's has on overwhelming choice of meats. We had the dry aged t bone $85. The best Kobe steak $350/3 ounces. Starch choices were French fries or Mac and cheese. I was all good not great. The steakhouse chains like Morton's are just as good if not better. Give it a try if you would like.

This has got to be one of the noisiest and most pretentious restaurant I have ever experienced. I would have loved to have a decibel meter as I could not hear my guest from across a small table and the waiters, all of them snotty, insisted on shouting out over the mayhem the ingredients of every dish they served. Everyone... More
