My mom and I stumbled upon this restaurant after checking into our hotel down the street. The restaurant is small and the interior is nothing special, but the sushi was great. We had several different rolls, and would definitely go back.

Went in solo and was seated at the bar so watched the guys making the sushi and some of the plates were works of art. The food was well presented and full of flavour and the staff attentive and helpful.

I selected this sushi restaurant because of another sites reviews. The service was good, the sushi plentiful and delicious. It is not a glamor spot by any means, but you feel like you get your money's worth. Beer was cold, and the service prompt. We had miso soup and Age-dashi tofu appetizer (both okay and expected), 4 maki (recommend the... More

Went with a friend, looking for a quick sushi dinner near our hotel. Definitely not a high end place with shabby but cool vibe. Lots of hip student types. Music was "interesting" somewhat muzak style and older stuff. Sushi was only ok with the rice being much too congealed and the fish fresh enough but not flavour bursting. Appetizers were... More

We went because it was close to our hotel. The place was busy and the service was very good. My husband wanted to have Sushi while we were in town. He loved it. I had a noodle dish that was very good.

Good neighborhood sushi joint. Service was okay, Barry White was playing, the food came quickly and was all good.

We just happened upon this restaurant the first night of our vacation in San Francisco. We were pleasantly surprised. The ambience is a bit, well, different. But, we were there for the food and a nice quiet place to enjoy our first day in SF. The service was very good. They were attentive but did not hover. They gave us... More

I always consult TripAdvisor before I walk into a restaurant, but took a chance with Sushi Toni. Had sushi combo C and a bottle of their advertised special sake. The plate was a bit unimaginative (5 out of 9 pieces were tuna, really?) and not sure worth the $15.50, but it was a good meal. Wouldn't walk out of my... More

This restaurant is near the hotel where my wife and I stayed while in San Francisco. We walked past Sushi Toni at least once a day, but it didn’t show up in any of the restaurant reviews my wife found. I talked her into eating at a ‘neighborhood’ place and I’m glad I did. The décor is very chrome and... More

This restaurant doesn't look like much, but they have pretty good sushi and a nice service. Everything we had was nicely prepared and very fresh. Great find!
