We were lucky enough to snag a last-minute Christmas Eve reservation here. The restaurant itself is lovely, 3 stories. The bar on the 1st floor was crowded, and we had to wait a good 20 minutes until our table was ready, despite our reservation. The hostess apologized, explaining the table was finished and paid, just hanging out, and since it... More

This restaurant won me over the moment they came around with the popovers. What a wonderful treat to start the meal with a fresh warm popover. I also loved my drink, their Cucumber Mule. Definitely try the deviled eggs. Unlike any others I have had and fabulous. My caesar salad was unique and delicious. So many good options on the... More

Being a visitor to the city and somewhat of a foodie, I had no idea was to expect with Wayfare. We had reservations but our table was not ready yet. So we sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. Our table became available however, we inquired about possible sitting at the kitchen counter that overlooks the... More

I went to the Wayfare Tavern with my colleagues for our department's holiday lunch. All of us were looking forward to it, but I can honestly say we were all highly disappointed. The appetizers, dessert, and wine were great, but the entrees were all awful. I ordered the $20 burger, named "Le Grand." It was no where near worth $20.... More

A nice restaurant with a comfortable decor. Extremely hot inside for my comfort level. The serving staff is professional and knowledgable. The wine menu is very good but the food is very marginal. The Executive Chef should take another look at his menu and make changes. I had the polenta dish that was only average and unappealing to look at.... More

I've always been a fan of Tyler Florence since his start in the restaurant scene in NYC, and then with his stint on the Food Network. When I found out he had a restaurant in SF, I had to check it out. I had friends from Texas and the U.K. visiting and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to... More

We were there with a group of 24. The food was exceptional. The service was fast and friendly. All of the staff was polite. Dining areas were clean, good illumination. Restroom facilities were also clean. Elevator provide for handicap access to upper levels.

I had the pleasure of eating here on a business trip. The food was excellent having a great steak tartar followed by fish. My fellow dinners also had great food. The only issue was that our waiter was somewhat snooty and seemed to take a dislike to one member of our group. It didn't spoil our meal but it's unfortunate... More

I, my wife and a friend went there for lunch earlier this month. My wife and I had talked about going there during the past 2 to 3 years, but never really took the time to when we've been to S.F. Have we ever missed out. From the time you enter until you leave, everything is outstanding, from the service... More

Liked the deviled eggs and the chicken. Was very disappointed with the Cesar Salad. Make sure you call for reservations, as this place is insanely busy!
