Fantastic leisurely lunch meal for a special occasion. Everything was exquisite from start to finish. The raw bar oyster selection is tops (Kusshi's from British Columbia were our favorite); the flaky popovers are light and absolutely just melt in your mouth; the poutine is decadent, rich, flavorful, and as good as any I've had in Canada; my husband loved the... A chic San Francisco location with an English pub décor. The food was very good- in particular, the short beef rib and the chocolate cream pie. Excellent and friendly service, and welcoming ambiance.

Fantastic ambience to the place and service to match. My score isn't 5stars as I was unimpressed with the steak in size and also accompanying sides, I really just don't get corn bread as being anything but a cheap filler for meals. Wines good, had the merlot from nappa. The grilled broccoli as a side was excellent, the highlight. Sat... More

This Tyler Florence restaurant offers a buzzing bar and noisy bistro atmosphere. Food is excellent, mostly Southern staples, done very well under the supervision of TF. Good selection of beers and wines. A good choice for dinner in chilly San Francisco

I did not have a reservation and was dining alone. I was seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen. The Burger was cooked to medium perfectly. I ordered mine with the egg on top and it was truly spectacular. Not only was the food good, but the service was outstanding and attentive. All too often when dining alone you feel... More

Though a bit on the San Francisco chic side, the food was both good and plentiful. The fried chicken, recommended by another website as "to die for" was served a bit on the rare side, and if one likes rosemary seasoning, a bit overwhelming in that regard. The cheese used in the ma 'n cheese side was also unusual in... More

Maybe we got lucky? We turned up at 8pm on a Friday and the place was already humming. Yet we were quickly and efficiently seated at the bar, next to a delightful couple from Fresno (I hope you guys read this!) The 'popover bread' was great - think Yorkshire Pud as a compatriot has already said. I prefer real butter... More

Ever since Tyler Florence opened Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco's FiDi my husband and I resisted going, the menu never appealed to us. Two days ago I happened to walk by it and from the outside it intrigued me. I checked the lunch menu online since I was going to have a short work day and wanted to have lunch... More

Book to sit and watch the chefs create their masterpieces! A fascinating treat, sip a cocktail while waiting for your food - which is massive and tasty! A real "locals" feel place, busy and vibrant.

I've been here a few times. First, the location is not great, its in FiDi, which is a bit dead at night. However, spring the $10 for the valet parking; its worth it. The food is excellent, particularly the octopus appetizer. Excellent wine list but do start with a signature cocktail; they are so worth it. Finally, if you're squeezed... More
