Love it

This Loving Hut offers Vietnamese style vegetarian food, just be aware that they use onion in their dishes if you are on non-garlic/onion vegetarian diet.

I do recommend loving hut to any vegetarian/vegan cause the food is very tasty, the service is quick and the price is good. For those of you who like burgers, the veggie burger here is excellent.

After a long morning of exploring San Francisco, we were walking through Chinatown when we happened on the Loving Hut Vegan Restaurant. After the obligatory jokes about the name (sounds like a Korean "love hotel"), we took a look at the menu. My first thought was, "I can eat Anything on this menu! Yeah!" My omnivorous, discerning, foodie friend and... More

We were in search of vegan food, in a hurry, and walking the two blocks from our hotel on Broadway to Beach Blanket Babylon on Green street. Our desk clerk recommended Loving Hut on Stockton, right on the way. It really filled the bill with good asian food that we ate standing in line for the will call box office... More

This is the 2nd Loving Hut we've been to. Food, as usual is quite good, 100% Vegan and healthy. Service lacks a friendly touch as the server/cashier has no personality whatsoever, but the food totally makes up for the lack of customer service. Prices are like other Loving Huts, very affordable

I was happy to find a vegan restaurant in Chinatown, San Francisco that was organic and had raw dessert. The service was good. Ambience is acceptable.

I grabbed a noodle bowl here before a visit to Golden Gate Park. The food was wonderful, the portions generous, and the price can't be beat. The decor/atmosphere is a little stark--kind of that white, Chinese-carryout feeling of white tile and white counters--but I don't really hold that against them. Seating was plentiful and was just what I was looking... More

Everything is fresh, the vegetables are the correct color and not overcooked zapping all the nutrients . I've been to the one in Chinatown as well as in the mall (diff owners) and both were excellent . You feel good and healthy after your meal. If only meat eaters could taste not everything is a dry cracker for vegans .... More

I had the lunch special here, it's a great deal. The restaurant and bathroom were both very clean. Great place to dine and watch Chinatown, would recommend.

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch here. We are not vegetarians and, yet, were pleasantly surprised by the tastes and textures of the food. We both had noodle soup - won ton and vietnamese noodle. They were equally delicious. We also tried the spring rolls which had some great flavors. All in all a very wonderful meal!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
