Delicious little nook

Confident menu. We'd heard the bacon beignets were good and wish the waiter hadn't suggested we go with only one serving - 5 pieces for 3 friends wasn't a whole lot, and I'm only complaining because they were that good. The duck was particularly enjoyed at our table. Cocktails and wine list... read more

This was close to my B&B and friends met me here for dinner. We shared several starters and mains. All was excellent. The price was reasonable and the wine list compact but good. Service was very good. It was a little noisy.

Reservations are a must at this lovely little restaurant! The shrimp avocado bouchée (very small appetizers) was delicious, as was the linguine w/ puttanesca sauce appetizer. The mushroom/corn risotto was a refreshing lighter version of traditional risotto. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service was fantastic.

Wonderful food served by a very friendly and competent staff. Tables a little too close for comfort but I guess you can't have everything. Reservation a must on any day.

Small restaurant with a good vibe. My daughter and I went for a Sunday evening meal and still the place was packed (reservations a must) with a good vibe. Menu is seasonal and all worked well (if a little bit salty for my taste). There is a clever system for the house wine - you pay what you drink. I... More

We were staying in the Castro neighbourhood and went to this restaurant having seen it mentioned in Lonely Planet. It was packed and clearly very popular with locals, so it was a good job that we had booked. The tables are packed in and the staff could be seen moving them to allow people to squeeze into the bench seats... More

Was in San Francisco with a colleague on business and had dinner here. Small but well curated menu. We had a kale salad and spinach soup for starters, both excellent, and beef and duck breast entrees, the latter being superb, with a fantastic bottle of local pinot noir. $250 bill including tips. Definitely recommended.

As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation.
