Completely worth the long wait. They will take down your number and text you when the table is ready. You have 5 minutes. So go get a drink nearby. The piazza is awesome and other dishes on the menu are amazing and different from what you would normally see at a pizza place. Several pizzas have awards.

We went early on a Thursday night to Tony's because we expected a line. We got there at 5:30pm and waited 5 minutes before getting a table. The menu is very overwhelming - there are so many different pizza choices including toppings, crust styles, and cooking methods. I wish we had gone with more people so we could have ordered... More

we went on a weekday evening and there was about 1/2 hour wait. the menu is huge, although most of the choices are purely based on the type of crust and the temperature the pizza is cooked ta. there was nothing all that unusual about the choices for toppings. The service was good, especially considering how busy the place was,... More

Visited on a weekday. There was an hour wait. We opted for the next door to go section and were assured they served the same pizza. We ordered the "award winning pizza". It was ok. Definitely overpriced for the small size. We were still hungry after. As a pizza lover, a former new yorker , and someone who has been... More

I'd heard of Tony's Pizza before - first on an earlier tour of the city, and then via TV show Bar Rescue. Having been to other famous and hyped pizza restaurants and consistently been disappointed, I was sceptical, fully expecting another let-down. How wrong I was. From the moment we entered, the service was exceptional, and the food... oh, the... More

I went with my husband and our couple friend we were staying with in SF. We ordered the Margharita, which had been highly recommended by our friends and the New Yorker. The New Yorker had meats and red sauce and it was the best pizza I ever ate. It was a new york style pizza and had a great flavor.... More

Only other place I went twice (other than Brenda's). EXCELLENT pizza. I took mine into Washington park and people watched but you can eat it outside the store or take it home. If I lived in SF I would consider taking one of their pizza classes just to get some tips. Located in North Beach and on your way to... More

I had heard this was very popular and didn't take reservations, so in a burst of cleverness I decided to show up at 9:30 PM on a Monday night, figuring the crowds would be lighter and even if they weren't I'd get seated eventually since I'd have my name in for a table before closing. Wrong. Fisherman's Wharf was walk... More

This was so wonderful. Some of the best I have ever had !! Crust just right & Marinara had a fantastic full flavor. You can learn from reading this ... We showed w/ a reservation so a long wait. Well, next door is the same pizza, but take out. So we ordered there. There is limited seating outside but we... More

We love all kinds of pizza and we loved Tony's…..we went at an off time ~2pm on a weekday and we got right in with our party of 5 (10 minutes later the place was packed) we tried several different pizzas and loved them all. Had one of special Sausage and Stout and really liked it, tried the Honey Pie... More
