Quick, good food, good service, enjoyable

Good breakfast, served quickly. They start you off with 3 pieces of toasted sourdough bread with some yummy jam located on the table; very good. Eggs were done perfectly, pancakes were hearty, and the fruit side dish a nice surprise. Wait staff (entirely Japanese, it appeared) was extremely... read more

We were amazed by the quality of the food at Hollywood Cafe. We went there for breakfast and ordered an Audrey Hepburn (pancakes with bowl of fresh fruit) and an Meat Lover omelette. Just delicious! The food is fresh and well prepared and packed with flavour. Order some sourdough bread - it's delicious! The service is fast and no frills... More

Visited twice for breakfast around 9-9.30, both times waiting around 15-20 minutes to be seated. When you arrive add your name and party size to the list on the counter facing the entrance, they then come and call your name when your table is ready. The fact that this place is so busy is testimony to their success, they serve... More

Had our first San Fran breakfast here and what a great start. Lots of choice and USA portions. You can just about ask for anything. All our meals were great, good coffee and the service was quick. You have to wait for a table if busy but they have a waiting list which helps. A queue of people waiting is... More

We enjoyed our first breakfast so much we came back the next day. Portions are generous, food is delicious, service is fast and friendly. The hash browns, fresh oj, pancakes, toast and jam and fresh fruit were all delicious. Both days we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but that to me is always a sign of... More

This was the best breakfast I had, I would come back here when in San Fran again. The place opens up early and I really really do recommend you go early if want breakfast as it will be a bit of a wait. This place was so popular, whilst having our breakfast, you can see the queue go down then... More

Jet lag from the UK is a beautiful thing, especially when it comes to grabbing an early breakfast! We woke up at about 5am and knew that you had to be at the Hollywood Cafe early to avoid the queue. We were not disappointed! Amazing food, pancakes stacked high with fresh fruit. Perfect for those staying at the San Remo... More
