I had the misfortune to try and eat there tonight. We arrive and askef for a table for two and were asked to wait at the bar. We were given a buzzer that informed us our table was ready and presented with the bill for two drinks. I did ask if we could continue the tab with our meal but... More

It's like being in an exhibition and seeing all the staff working is compelling. It's novel and very appealing. There are many things going on all at once which is what makes this place so appealing. We managed a free tour of the fully operational bakery upstairs which was interesting. Interactive elements for children and a good historic blast if... More

The food is excellent, the bread is very tasty and healthy. We had pizza and sandwiches and it was one of the best lunches in San Francisco. We recommend every visitor to San francisco to eat at least one in Boudin Bakery.

So, you see and hear about this place everywhere. Along with the warnings that its not the best, look for cheaper with less hype elsewhere, etc. Reality: $10 for an animal shaped loaf of sourdough isn't cheap. You're also at Fisherman's Wharf. Is it the most life-changing sourdough bread? Probably not. Are you looking for a life changing foodie experience... More

Famous for their sourdough bread, it is a delicious lunch stop. I had a bread bowl with clam chowder and I recommend it to anybody. They have a variety of food options including "to go" bakery items. Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. And if you want to experience a bit of local taste, this is a good option.

After our morning trip to The Rock (book your trip at least fee days prior your visit, our sunday morning trip was sold out) this is a very touristy spot just in front the Fisherman's wharf, you have you order in a fast food like counter, then wait in a second line for your food, we order the Sourdough bread... This place is difficult to miss as you walk past the piers of Fisherman's Wharf. The smell of the sourdough bakery is blown out into the street to make sure you notice it. We ordered the sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder. The bread is good, but the clam chowder would be better described as clam flavoured potato chowder. I... More

The food is good and reasonably priced but trying to find a table inside was impossible. Although the line to order food was long I was surprised at the speed of delivery!

I have been in San Francisco slightly over 24 hours and have already had their Clam Chowder in a bread bowl twice. I will likely go back again before I leave and may buy some chowder to take home with me. Absolutely divine! It is that good.

I'm not a big sourdough bread guy, but the bread bowl chili and chowder here is amazing and you can't go wrong if you pair it with the flatbread pizza. I also really enjoyed watching the bread chefs.
