much better than a taqueria, delicious food, consistently wonderful

I have been to both locations, and they're quite consistent and similar, so this is for both. I love the food, servers, atmosphere - the whole enchilada, so to speak. Plates are small and well designed. The ones we ordered were very very spicy like the ceviche. Then the poached eggs with beans was described as mild but still had a bit of spice in it and my 7 year old daughter felt the difference. The Margarita was delicious and strong. The waitress was very nice and gave us a... More

Great food but on the small side. Well worth it for the flavor though - nothing like it in San Francsco. High end Mexican at it's finest!

This place is well priced and the decoration is simple yet beautiful in the details. The food is great: flavors are fresh, light and healthy yet with some Mexican key touches like blue corn tortilla and queso fresco cheese. Try the fish tacos they are delicious! Great for meeting with friends or trying something new for the weekend. They have... More

Inventive Mexican dishes with fine, fresh ingredients. i started with the Ensalada de Lechuga y Duraznos,a delicious salad and had a quesadilla with squash blossoms! Husband had fish tacos al pastor. Loved them bit. Friends had trout and carnitas (i think--i was so focused on my food!) Their dessert bars are wonderful!!

This is a lively place, but not impossibly crowded or noisy. The cooks are inventing and remembering the very best recipes from Mexico and creating small plates of these delicious foods here in SF. There is a finely chosen selection of mescal, marvelous Blue Bottle coffee, and a nice little dessert selection as well. Always good. There's even parking!

Great atmosphere in trendy neighborhood. For the meal, the price was right. Very delicious guacamole. Beef was excellent. Mixed drinks overpriced. Killer bee margarita drink not so great.

Started with warm caliente chick peas, followed by delicious fish tacos, then chicken enchiladas mole, pork carnitas and finally a pork torte all washed down with a delicious pitcher of margaritas. Service was fast at lunch and the price was right. a delicious almond tea biscuit was served with the bill. Amazing, fast and delicious.

Wow, if you are only used to tortilla chips with beans, cheese and mince chucked in, try this for an authentic Mexicana eating experience. There is nothing ordinary here, from the chap making the cocktails to the food ,everything is unique .Lovely staff and the food keeps coming. the price ranges from 7 to 20 dollars and you can tuck... This is a fun little place with delicious fresh food. Great fish tacos & ceviche. My only complaint is the noise level. It's loud and busy but the service is very good.
