Excellent steakhouse in San Francisco. Good for a special occasion, since it is on the expensive side. Service was very good along with the food.

This locally owned business has kept its quality for many years, and is as good or better than ever. It offers both dry and wet aged steaks that are as good as any in the country, and they always seem to get the "doneness" to your specific request. Never over or under cooked in my years of dining here. Try... More

If you want a really great steak, fine wine and excellent service, you must dine at Harris' Steakhouse. It is by far one of the best steak restaurants in San Francisco. My steak that was so fine that words could not describe it. The vegetables and potatoes are top notch also. You do not want to miss this dining experience... More

Harris is a beautiful steak house with a dark wood interior and plush leather booths. Tables are spaced far apart. The menu is pure steakhouse and the wine list is superb and they have Sea Smoke wines which in my view are the best in the world. Smoked salmon, prime rib and a Sea Smoke Pinot Noir made this one... The BEST steak house ever! This place is old school and in a good way. Enjoyed a fantastic dinner of the Harris Steak and Harris Martini served with all the style and class you would expect. Cannot wait to go back! Absolutely delicious!

I ate here with my girlfriend for Valentine's day (a day early). All of the staff was very attentive, very cordial, and very pleasant. We were sitting in their area the call the library, which was perfect because we were away from the larger rooms with more people. It was just us and one other group in the smaller room.... More

Three old pals get together quarterly to dine and catch up. Harris has become the tradition and we are in agreement that until it disappoints us, it will remain our go-to beanery and watering hole. Harris' offers a comfortable, welcoming steakhouse environment without trying to make a big deal of themselves. We typically begin with the wedge iceberg lettuce salad... More

we ate at this restaurant last weekend. We were disappointed both in the service and the prime rib. There were four of us all of us order the prime rib. We all agreed that the meat did not seem like it was prime. It was chewy and tough. The waiter was kind of a greasy guy and his service was... More

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
