The food was good. Steaks were prepared perfectly. Friendly staff in a typical steakhouse setting. We ordered oysters which were fresh. If your in the city, there are so many amazing restaurants, expand your pallet, this place is good, but why when you can get a decent steak almost anywhere.

I had been looking forward to dining at what I heard to be the best steak place in San Francisco and I was very disappointed. I asked the server about the ribeye and she assured me she had eaten one and it would be very tender. I bit into a piece of bone that was not attached to the main... More

I feel like I am in the twilight zone reading these other reviews. I feel like these people ate at a completely different restaurant than the one I went to. Maybe they were blind-folded and had their taste buds removed or numbed with an anesthetic...I don't get it. I am utterly shocked that they have 4 stars. My wife and... More

My wife and I visited the restaurant whilst on holiday from the uk. I booked 2 months in advance by email and mentioned we where celebrating our 30 th wedding anniversary and to their credit they didn't forget bringing us a desert with a candle. This was the best restaurant we visited whilst in San Francisco and we would return... More

Brought the boy here for a late birthday dinner! And so glad I did.. Neither of us are from the area and it was also the boy's first trip out to SF. This place did not disappoint! Had a glass of Pinot noir and he enjoyed a couple of cocktails.. We started with the crab cakes (amazing).. He ordered a... More

My boyfriend has a tradition of eating at one of the best Steakhouses in every new city he goes to. We had one night in San Francisco and choose to go here. The ambiance was nice, but everything else was a little below par. The food and service were both mediocre and we left unimpressed overall.

We haven't been to Harris's for a number of years, but now I'll be back more often. My dinner began with an amazing prawn cocktail presented beautifully . I ordered the Harris's bone in NY steak, cooked to perfection . Make a reservation and visit this San Francisco Classic steak house!

Just completed our seventh visit t o SFF, have had our last dinner at Harris for the fifth time. Always delicious, great service and sophisticated, yet, comfortable atmosphere. Great for a special occasion or just to treat yourself. Not inexpensive, but being from NY, not as costly as a great steak dinner in the Big Apple.

I thought we were headed to one of the best steakhouses in San Francisco, this is not that. First the food:, our appetizers were excellent but my steak was tough and overcooked. The crowd is rough, not a sophisticated bunch. They have a sign about dress code but one guy wore a muscle shirt and a ball cap through dinner.... More
