Quick and Satisfying Asian Food

Nestled in that busy corridor between Union Square and the San Francisco Westfield Shopping Center is Tian Sing. Clean and brightly lit, this pleasant restaurant offers most of the expected dishes of a San Francisco Chinese restaurant, with an emphasis on seafood dishes. Sweet and sour shrimp... read more

Avoid this place at all cost! They use all the tourist trap tricks in the book. They include the service fee in the bill. They show up with a cart and shove appetizers in front of you with no pricing, and each appetizer is priced as high as the main courses. The food is tasteless and mediocre and comes in... More

So good we went here twice. The boss and I went here while in SF for work. I had seafood soup and hot tea, both quite tasty. But our favorite was the steamed dumplings. They came with a red sauce, and our server told us to drizzle the sauce and eat the dumpling in one bite. The flavor was so... More

We stopped to read their sidewalk menu and almost immediately the door was flung open and we were welcomed inside. The food was very good and the portions large. Will most definitely return on our next trip!

Found this restaurant on our first visit to San Fran 5 years ago and loved the Yum Cha style of food they served - we returned again and found the same great service and very delicious food. The Shanghai Dumplings, Pot Stickers and Soft Shell Crab are worth trying. Service was quick and friendly, the prices reasonable.

I eat here about 3 times a month for lunch as I work nearby. The service is good and friendly and dim sum cart well stocked. (one reviewer criticized a cart of food rolling up right away instead of letting him look at menu first. Obviously does not know how dim sum are served! They frequently show what is on... More

Food: Lots of selections. Dimsum choices are lovely. Servings are usually good for two already. Lemon chicken, spicy spare ribs, yang chow rice, siumai, hakao are better that most. Try the sea bass- pricey but super worth it. Service: Dine-in and takeout service are quick and efficient. Staff are non-obtrusive but available. Budget: Reasonable. Atmosphere: Near Union Square and its... More

We needed a light snack at 3:00 and this place was near the Hilton where we had just checked in. Pot stickers and Shanghai dumplings hit the spot. The Hostess wisely asked if we knew how to eat the Shanghai dumplings and we said Yes, carefully. They are hot and can squirt their delicious juices if you do not bite... More

In my home town, it's often said that if you see a large number of Asian businessmen eating in a Chinese restaurant, then the food is sure to be good. Possibly this is only true if there's a lot of competition nearby (as there is in Perth), because while the Tian Sing was half-full of Asian men in suits, the... More

Sweet and sour shrimp proved tasty, with tender (if small) shrimps basted in a tangy sauce. The... More

After a long flight we opted for food close to our hotel. The appearance is a bit large diner, don't worry. The greeting was warm and genuine, a sample trolley of dim sum enticed but we opted straight for 2 mains & 3 beers We wanted steamed rice, they were distraught it wasn't part of a combo (a beloved offering...
