Chinese food in downtown SF

I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was clean, service was good and the food was fine. At the same time, considering its proximity to Chinatown, I wasn't blown away. I could have found just as good easily near home.

This was the best place we ate in San Francisco. Never having eaten Thai food before the place was recommended by a San Franciscan native so we went, three times!! The value is amazing as it the flavour of their foods. So friendly people too and they remembered us the second night so a major plus there. Well worth a... More

Do not waste your money at this place. The dim sum is not worth the price. You are better off buying some frozen dumplings from the grocery store. The fried noodles are very oily and good luck finding anything that resembles a piece of meat. They add an automatic 15% service charge to the bill without telling you. Presumptuous! We... More

I had dinner here and wasn't disappointed. Given the location I was afraid it would be a tourist trap. It definitely wasn't and the food was certainly good and service friendly. The starters were going around on a trolly which is efficient but not that hygenic and good for freshness & temperature. Pity. Main course nice and a decent portion. Staff... More

This restaurant was near our hotel and we passed it every night on the way back from Union Square. We ate here and enjoyed our dishes. Like other reviewers have stated, they bring a trolley of appetizers, and a small trolley of dim sum over to your table. We did order and found them delicious. But the second time around,... More

I have had lunch &dinners ,yum cha, and straight from the menu...and I have to tell you, this place calls me back. You can see into the kitchen from the street and watch both the expertise, care and presentation of each meal and how clean that kitchen is. On arrival you are seated promptly, thru the meal the waiters are at a... More

This restaurant was next door to our hotel. We enjoyed one dinner here and the Xo sauce was very tasty. The service was professional. You can see the chefs at work. The restaurant is quite large and it was busy during the time of our visit.

I went here because it's close to my hotel, but I really wish I hadn't. They jumped on you at the door, I hadn't even sat down and a cart was bought over. No explanation, no pricing. I ordered chicken satay which was horribly undercooked, I couldn't eat it. The waitress said that it's brown meat so it's supposed to... More

Very basic. The food has no taste. The restaurant is not great and looks more like a cantina. It's just ok if you are a large group and can't find place elsewhere. But I would not recommend
