Excellent meal. Staff very efficient but not in your face. Tasting menu had a good mix of cheese, fish and meat. Favourite was salad gaspachio salad and roast potatoes though. Very busy. Waiter helped us choose right wine and sparkling watee complimentary. Too full for dessert.

Contigo has become one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Their food is fresh, tasty and always delicious! We normally get the chef's tasting menu which is a bargain for all of the wonderful things you get to try. Croquetas and squid are always a highlight. Service is always warm and friendly and Vanessa always takes such good care... More

Had a wonderful meal tonight, party of 5 which included a couple of celiacs, coupled with other allergies/intolerances. I reached out ahead of the meal to the restaurant and had a few email exchanges with Elan - who proved to be knowledgeable, accommodating, extraordinarily friendly and helpful. We showed up to the restaurant - Elan was not there but had... More

We've enjoyed this place a number of times and enjoyed a variety of Catalan small plates. The food is very good but the service while friendly and attentive enough is rushed. We recently ordered a 5 course paella chef's dinner and the first 3 courses were put on the table at the same time. One feels they would like to... More

On our anniversary, my husband and I went out of town for a quick one night trip to SF (we live 5 hours away) and when he told the hostess that it's a last minute surprise anniversary dinner, she went out of her way to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday night. The place is small and with a... More

I visit Barcelona easily four times a year and my husband is Spanish so I would like to think that I have a handle on authentic Spanish food. We ordered an array of food, including the squid a la plancha, the sardines, anchovies, patatas bravas, bellota, and the churros and chocolate. Everything was delicious! For sure I felt like I... Delicious fun food and upbeat neighborhood atmosphere. The menu is tapas, the wines are all spanish, and the tastes are creative and well conceived. Pea puree on toast with morel mushrooms--YUM! Squid served with black rice (squid ink!). We waited a long time for seats at the Tapas Bar, and eventually the owner found us a table to sit at... More

This place is exactly what you might want from a neighborhood restaurant - great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and not too expensive. It's a tapas place, but the tapas are carefully created by the chef, who avoids the standard "best of" tapas choices in favor of some wonderfully unusual flavor combinations. I've been here a few times and the food... More

Our party of 5 had a great time at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service superb. Contigo is located in a cool neighborhood which we enjoyed walking through. We were visiting from Chicago, and our San Francisco friends recommended it--so glad they did.

Located off the beaten track, this tapas restaurant has some delicious offerings, although pretty pricey--but we've found that's pretty much true of all San Francisco dining establishments. We got there early so did not need a reservation, but it was clear that might not be the case after 7 p.m. The presentation was beautiful and the tastes delicious. A return... More
