The food was OK. The service was bad. Three waiters served us. I wrote the check for $176. Today I received the statement from the credit card. They added 94 cents to the bill. What a cheap restaurant.

We passed by this place on the way to a Giants game and decided we would go back for dinner, mainly because it it cute (seems very San Francisco), we wanted Italian and it was close to our hotel. Do not bother. The waiters all have affected (fake) accents. The pasta is perfectly Al denote but the sauces are really... More

Some friends introduced us to this great find on Sunday after a SF Giants game. It is walking distance from AT&T park. Andre our waiter (from Rome) was professional and polite and answered all menu questions. We shared a plate of the buratta cheese that came with arugula a few cherry tomatoes and some prosciutto...excellent. We each ordered a pasta.... More

Good not great Italian food. Had a nice salad of super tender calamari with beans. Could have used a bit more salt, but I'll take that over too much. Braised rabbit over polenta cakes was delicious, moist, and tender. Friendly service.

This is a quiet little spot just south of the freeway. We were there on a Sunday evening and there was ample parking on the street. The atmosphere inside was very quiet and very much reminded us of Italy. The food was superb. Several said the calamari was the best they ever had. They were very accommodating, as our party... Judging from the inside decor and the Italian servers, you could think you're in Italy; it's very cozy. My friends and I made reservations for 9 people. The service was great - the food came quick and almost at the same time for all of us. Everyone's meal tasted great. I call myself a Tiramisu connaisseur because I usually have... More

La Briciola. Absolutely a must. Owned by Italians, they know how to cook! The service was attentive and the server offered great suggestions. We had the Polpo con tagiolini, which were flavorful and tender. The Lasagna di Mare which was recommended was the best ever, creamy, tender and full of fish. The Straccietti al ragu di agnello was exquisite. The... More

We came back to our old standby tonight. It was as wonderful as going to grandma's for Sunday night Italian dinner. I had swordfish cooked to perfection. As many times as I have been here I have never been disappointed.

We had reservations for 630, waiter took our order and we never saw him again during two courses, wait staff would bring food, pepper never offered had to wave waiter down for a fork for main dish. Cesar salad very good. Lamb ragu cold, veal rolls way too salty. San Francisco is a hot bed of awesome Italian restaurants, best... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
