Four of us went to this place just to find out if the escargot were equal to what we had in France. I was dubious but discovered I didn't have to cross the Atlantic to get good escargot. But the bonus was to discover the Crispy Duck Wings listed under "Table" on the menu. Generous portions well prepared. The problem... More

Loved how nice everyone was, the chef Mike Mina came to each table, would take photos with guests. The wine was excellent, food perfect! Great suggestions from Sommelier on the wine. Loved the dessert!

A fellow trip advisor reviewer said it best: the average review is accurate for this place. Food was very good, but both food and wine are way overpriced for what you get. Nice decor/environment, but service is lacking. It took 10-15 min before anyone came to ask us for our drink/appetizer order, another 20 min to get salads and our... More

Yes, there are some uneven reviews; but, we had a great evening! Excellent bar god who knew his cocktails and wine.. We moved to a table and had an excellent dinner that started with us sharing four very good appetizers.. Pate, roasted beet salad.. Service at times was attentive, but, sometimes absent.. Ah, dinner, sweet breads, snapper, steak. These were... More

Had dinner on a Saturday. Waitress was lovely. Cork in one of our wine glasses. A fly caused us to not be able to finish our cheese platter and we were surprised that we were not offered a dessert or replacement for the food we couldn't eat. I had the salmon tartare - was ok. Tuna Niçoise salad was good.... More

I read all 13 pages of reviews. I've eaten at RN74 three times. The average review is accurate in the following: 1) While it's good, it isn't as good as other Michael Mina restaurants either in food quality or service. 2) Since the food quality and service aren't as good as in other Mina restaurants, you'll feel gouged in what... Really great and unique French cuisine. Octopus with crispy potatoes set the tone. Too bad the service was lacking. Maybe too many people in the house, but we were there early. Go if you are adventurous, not scared by a pricy wine list and patient.

If you're a wine lover you probably take notice of Wine Spectator's rankings not just for the wine, but for the restaurants that pride themselves on maintaining a complete cellar. RN74 achieves Spectator's highest ranking and they have the food to enjoy to back it up. The food is not for the timid eater (although anyone can find something on... More

The food is actually extremely good but the bar is such a disaster that it takes forever to get ANY drink. I think I could have crushed the grapes and fermented the wine faster myself. In fact, our wine arrived AFTER we completed our main courses, totally ruining the meal. The otherwise competent sever couldn't even be bothered to apologize... More
