Very interesting, delicious menu. Impressive wine list. All wait staff I encountered were smart, witty and helpful.

I went here with my wife and another couple and we had a great time. The wine list is huge and it is all French wines so there weren't many I knew, but they have a sommelier who guided us through the list and picked out a couple of bottles for us. The food was excellent and it was a... More

This was my second time eating at RN74. For those people coming to get a glimpse of Ragat Parr (of Secrets of the Sommeliers fame), you will likely be disappointed. He used to live upstairs from the restaurant and was there virtually every day. Now he has moved near his winery Sandhi, and makes an appearance once or twice a... More

We went to this Michael Mina restaurant on the recommendation of a couple of foodie friends (confirmed by hotel concierge) so had high expectations. We were not disappointed. There was a regular restaurant or wine bar area, where you could have food. The dishes were really interesting and varied - with small dishes and regular main ones - that you... More

The restaurant is a top 5 regarding wines that I had ever been. The food menu is ok, and the food is really good. I'd recommend for a group of friends.

We came here to meet a friend who worked close by after work to say hi before our trip came to an end. The bar area and restaurant itself are really nice and classy but the food and service do not match it. It is expensive, even during happy hour, and the wait staff is not helpful with wine selections... More

On our food and wine tour of California RN 74 was definitely on the list. We had three lunch spots and three dinner spots picked out every day. The idea is to have five or six items we all can split and taste the essence of the restaurant and the region of the country the restaurant focuses on. The restaurant... More

An earlier reviewer nailed it: mediocre at best. Truly overrated and overpriced. I'll start with the good stuff, though. We found the host and assistant seating us were fine. And we did like one dish: the mussels with frites, which is big enough to constitute a full meal for one person. But beyond that, we were underwhelmed. Boring, semi-tasteless octopus... More

Four of us went to this place just to find out if the escargot were equal to what we had in France. I was dubious but discovered I didn't have to cross the Atlantic to get good escargot. But the bonus was to discover the Crispy Duck Wings listed under "Table" on the menu. Generous portions well prepared. The problem... More

Loved how nice everyone was, the chef Mike Mina came to each table, would take photos with guests. The wine was excellent, food perfect! Great suggestions from Sommelier on the wine. Loved the dessert!
