This place was jammed packed on Sunday. Service was really good. Food was really good. And the views of the water and Bay Bridge are really great. We got the vegetarian spring rolls - so good! , main course tofu dish and baby bok choy - both really really good

This restaurant is crazy popular so make a reservation. The food is fabulous, interesting, flavourful and you can try the old dependable standards or be more adventurous and try something new and exciting. There is something for everyone. The cocktails were delicious and the view of the bay is beautiful. The look and feel of the restaurant is upbeat and... More

I had heard lots of raves about the Slanted Door and I didn't feel like it lived up to the praise. The food was not flavorful and I would say was just average. Our service was fantastic and the location in the Ferry Building is lovely, however I felt that the food didn't live up to the hype about this... More

We had dinner at this great restaurant overlooking San Francisco Bay and the Bay Bridge recently and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We had a nice table in the middle of the room with a view of the Bay Bridge out the window. Our server did a great job taking care of us and the cocktails and the food were both... More

I knew of Slanted Door from Eater 38, and it was the #1 restaurant a foodie friend of mine recommended for my trip to SF, so I made a reservation two months in advance. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed (7:30 on a Thursday), and when we left at 10:00+, there was still a wait. So make a reservation!... More

Looking out at the lights of the Bay Bridge from our table at the Slanted Door, looking over an extensive menu of Vietnamese cuisine,I felt a truly iconic San Francisco experience. The view takes your breath away. Then an excellent array of food arrives. The scallops melted in my mouth, and although I do not eat pork or beef, the... More

Not bad, but at the bottom of our list of restaurants visited in SF and Napa. Very overrated, nothing special except view. Food was good, don't misunderstand but not as we were informed "one of the best in the USA!"

My husband and I tried to make a reservation for lunch, but none were available. We took a chance and walked in at 11:30am; the restaurant was empty and we were seated right away. The food was very good, but a little pricey. The server was efficient, but did not seem to have a lot of patience with our lack... More

Visited the Slanted Door on a business trip with 5 co-workers and we had a wonderful evening! The cocktail menu is extensive, and drinks were well crafted and well presented. We all opted for the Prix Fixe menu and it was a blast to share all the different flavors and plates with each other. Highly recommend the BBQ spare ribs,... More

If you follow the rule that a busy restaurant is a good one then Slanted Door gets and A+. Party of three, no reservations, Monday at 6:30pm = 40 min wait for a table. But... within five min we were seated at the bar. Wonderful server took excellent care of us, great recommendations for wine since we didn't want to... More
