I was told by my student to visit and ask for Shaken Beef. It was worth it! Delicious, elegantly prepared and served. The place is filled with groups enjoying food and conversation. A bit pricy it where is not in SF! I would recommend trying Shaken Beef

We made a reservation for lunch since this is such a busy place. We arrived early but were seated immediately. The wait staff was extremely eager to help with ordering. We wanted to try the Brussel Sprouts but thought a full order would be too much. The server offered a half order - they were the best we've ever had!... More

I sat at the bar while waiting for a while to catch a flight. Lunch was almost over but I had a chance to order. The entree of Vietnamese crepe was crazy good. And the main of shrimps also worked well. A short but well thought out wine list by the glass and a friendly staff along with the fantastic... More

Party of 5. Monday night, table reserved three nights before. Vietnamese menu to be shared with the party. We got recommendation to take 3 to 4 appetizers and 4 main courses to be shared between the party of five. Maybe we were a bit hungry and might have taken one appetizer and one main course more. Interesting wine list, focus... More

It was very busy when we arrived and no comfortable place to wait. May be really fun for groups but there were only two of us. We were really tired so I will say that this may have effected this review. We had Slanted Door spring rolls which I thought lacked flavor compared to those we have at our favorite... More

It has been over six years since my last visit to The Slanted Door. It was nice to see that this restaurant is still going strong. It remains crowded, energetic, loud and even charming, with its beautiful view over the Bay. The dishes are a modern take on Vietnamese cooking, all served family style. We shared spring rolls, BBQ spareribs,... More

After the Yoga Conference, walked across the street trying to revisit Hog Island again. No luck, that place was pack along with a line. Walked over to next door to Slanted Door and asked the hostess for a menu. BTW, I did not see a slanted door ;-)...onward with the review. Slanted door was also very crowded and have a... More

This restaurant is fun trendy and lively, and the food is deserving of the rave. The Chef has elevated simple dishes like imperial rolls and chicken in clay pot to a higher level. The live scallops is a must. I have never tasted anything like it. The pineapple spritzer is also yummy. If you can, book early and request for... More

Everything we ate was delicious. Everything. It is a little pricy but I would highly recommend. Tip: I learned after our dinner that there is a smaller adjunt to Slanted Door called "Out the Door" It is a kiosk that is mainley meant for carryout. I think it would be a great option if you want to try Slanted Door... More
