My husband and I tried to make a reservation for lunch, but none were available. We took a chance and walked in at 11:30am; the restaurant was empty and we were seated right away. The food was very good, but a little pricey. The server was efficient, but did not seem to have a lot of patience with our lack... More

Visited the Slanted Door on a business trip with 5 co-workers and we had a wonderful evening! The cocktail menu is extensive, and drinks were well crafted and well presented. We all opted for the Prix Fixe menu and it was a blast to share all the different flavors and plates with each other. Highly recommend the BBQ spare ribs,... More

If you follow the rule that a busy restaurant is a good one then Slanted Door gets and A+. Party of three, no reservations, Monday at 6:30pm = 40 min wait for a table. But... within five min we were seated at the bar. Wonderful server took excellent care of us, great recommendations for wine since we didn't want to... More

On holidays in San Francisco from Melbourne Australia a friend recommend this restaurant and we are glad she did. Not the Vietnamese food you expect like back home but a must try. We had the dumplings, the crepe and the shaking beef and we loved it all. We had a bottle of Italian Pinot Grigio reasonably priced all in all... More

What a find...the food is really good and well worth the 45min wait...I would recommend the gingered beef steak dish, very tasty. Service was good, even though it was very busy.

We stopped in based off a recommendation from some friends, and I have to say, we were not disappointed. We had the Gingered Beef, Squid, and Spring Rolls. Everything was cooked to perfection. The spring rolls were exceptionally good, and we have eaten at a lot of restaurants so this is very high praise. The service staff were also very... More

My son had researched the city for a special occasion that would have us in the area for dinner. He came up with this award winning establishment & reserved a table for four on a Saturday night a month in advance. We arrived early & the staff accommodated us before our reservation time. This place was crowded(popular)& buzzing. The building overlooks the bay,so the... First night in San Fran after a long travel day. Almost didn't reserve because 5:45 was the only time available that would work with our schedule. Got the hint to go from a relative back home. So glad we went! We ordered three main dishes to share and one appetizer. Mostly ordered recommendations from our wait staff. Everything was really... More

We had reservations and were seated immediately, with beautiful views over the bay. We ordered the seafood ceviche, which was delicious and fresh as well as the shrimp dumplings and Imperial spring rolls. For dinner, we had the short ribs, Japanese eggplant and Dungess Crab vermicelli. The food was amazing. We visited San Francisco for a whirlwind 48 hour weekend,... More
