Lovely food and setting

Went there with a group of business associates from NZ for the Super Bowl. Excellent atmosphere and menu and location down at the pier buildings is great. Only slight criticism was the service was a little slow and we had to chase a couple of times for non-appearing drinks.

It's sooo difficult to find a table in this amazing chinese restaurant, but if you are planning in advance, it s worth a try. The view on the bay and the bridge is incredible, and the food really keeps up with the view.. Not the most inexpensive restaurant you will find, but treat yourself to it once in a while

Myself, my husband and 2 friends just returned from a trip to San Francisco, after reading the reviews we booked the Slanted door for lunch and we were ever so glad we did. We all had different dishes and they were all amazing, especially the slanted beef. The staff were very friendly and helpful too which made for a great... More

Visited.on a Sunday night. Excellent food family style and sharable. Crowded and somewhat noisy but overall a good meal and dining experience. Easy to get to on the Embarcadero. Great views from inside and out. A bit pricey. Will go again! Recommended.

I sat for lunch at 11:15a -- what a great time to eat. It was so quiet and peaceful -- a perfect complement to the great food and spectacular view. I highly recommend the pho -- it is the best I have ever had. The Vietnamese Crepe was also incredible. It never caught my eye before but wish it had... More

Had lunch here while on vacation visiting our son. Reservations are recommended! The view of the Bay Bridge is awesome. The food was so good and they had lots of gluten free options. Will definitely return next time I am in SF.

Yum....fun...and perfect views. They have a takeout called "Out the Door" if you are at the Ferry Building and don't have a reservation to the real thing.

Slanted door is famous in San Francisco for its take on Vietnamese fusion. Came here on a weekend, was pretty busy. Waited for a while for a table. Ordered shaken beef, egg rolls, and noodles. The food was OK, wasn't bad, as I am usually not a fan for non-authentic food (doesn't matter where it is from). Price was high.... More

The Ferry Building is full of a variety of eating treats and even a real honest to God bookstore! The Slanted door has lovely cuisine, delicate flavors and nice presentation. Even on Super Bowl weekend it was an organized, efficient operation, I especially Y loved the Papaya Salad. Now I want the chef's new cookbook. Many Asian people were eating... More
