Memories of both dining experiences at the Slanted Door fill me with so much, so so much excitement. Slanted Door’s nouveau Vietnamese cuisine served family style which encouraged sharing was perfect as I was spoilt for choice from their deceptively simple ‘daily’ menu. Of all I had; the three most memorable dishes (it was difficult discounting any of them) were... More

After scouring the menu at what to get (there is something on the menu for everyone - fish, beef, chicken, vegetarians, salad), we decided to get the spring rolls, ribs and shrimp. All three were outstanding and we didn't have any room for dessert. Will definitely go back next time I'm in San Francisco. I wish I had gone back... More

Wonderful restaurant, vibrant! Modern Vietnamese at it's best! Simply amazing lemon meringue dessert. Will definitely return when I'm in this city again.

Very nice restaurant with a wide selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We chose many items and shared them between 4 of us so we all tasted everything.

We've wanted to go to the Slanted Door for a long time and used the occasion of a friend's visit to go. The view and the setting are wonderful and the food is perfectly good but our service was inconsistent -- very fast for the starters but quite slow for the main course. The noise from the kitchen was impossibly... More

Was expecting excellent food and dining experience and found to be very average. Disappointed on trip to San Francisco. Not worth going out if your way for.

We love Vietnamese and would normally stick to more lie brow street food style. We met freinds here on their suggestion and were very impressed. We had the grilled shrimp an fillet mingion which were both extremely tasty and great quality. The beer list was good and although slightly more than I would normally pay, we left very happy. This... Recommended by one of our fellow diners on Amtrak. It was as promised; very trendy, but great food in unique location. Tried to walk in to make a reservation; told to come back at 5:00. We did, and were told where to line up for a possible free table. We did, first in line, got drinks and waited. Very sociable... More

A friend recommended visiting this restaurant on a recent holiday to San Fran and we loved it! The food is excellent and they make great cocktails too. It's very busy but the service is super. We had a table by the window with a lovely view of the bridge. My boyfriend had mentioned it was my birthday when booking and... More

The food at the Slanted Door is always good, I always try to eat here whenever I am in town. If you can not get a reservation try walking over they may be willing to give you one in person, it worked for me.
