Enjoyable meal

We ate here as part of a group and enjoyed a good meal and excellent service. We also had breakfast in the Oak Room, which was buffet style.

We had dinner in the Oak Room and all the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The décor was amazing. Our meal was out of this world. Our waiter explained everything on the menu and made great suggestions. He was enthusiastic about the new menu and you can tell he really enjoyed his job.

I had lunch here with some business colleagues recently. The atmosphere is staid to say the least. I ordered the chowder which was nice but the size of a thimble. Someone else ordered the French onion soup and it was at least twice the size. The service was OK but not warm or friendly. Prices are high for what they... More

We enjoyed our night at The Oak Room. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The food was good, but for the location and price it needed to be great. We got the French onion soup, and asked for it well-done. When it arrived, their was no bubbly charred cheese on top; it had apparently sank to the bottom. The taste... More

We often eat there. Never had a bad meal, never had remotely inferior service. Menu is good as most and quality of food is good. We go there every time we are in SFO......so.....quiet, low key, is what you are looking for this is it.

Have only had breakfast here and we chose the buffet as it offered everything we were looking for - eggs, many juices (including a green drink), smoked salmon, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, a nice variety of breads, and much more. I was craving a bagel and there were not any in the breakfast buffet so I inquired with our waiter... More

There was a long wait to be seated even though the dining room was mostly empty late on a Sunday morning. Likewise a considerable wait for my order to be taken. The buffet was adequate but not fantastic given the price and the fact that items were not being replenished. Overall, the setting was warm and comfortable and the personnel... More

We were greeted graciously by Head Maitre'd Ms. Tran who sat us immediately. The solid wood paneling gave us a strong sense that we were back in the Splendor of The San Francisco Gold Rush Era. Our server Cesar, provided us with an extremely warm, polite, and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is currently lives... More

Offers a pretty interesting breakfast menu with some unique twists on classics -- and a buffet that is pretty vast. It was crowded. Good quick and yummy breakfast for the business traveler.

Had a very good meal, but thought it was very much over priced. But I should have expected that in a very nice hotel like Saint Francis and in San Francisco. Food was excellent and staff was friendly
