Nice quiet meal was very delicious

We were originally looking to have dinner at Morton's the steakhouse but there was going to be quite a wait. They redirected us across the street to the Westin and their steakhouse. we inadvertently went to the Oak Room instead of the steakhouse which turned out to be a pleasant surprise as we... read more

Food wasn't very creative. We went for SF restaurant week, which is suppose to be a chance for the place to show off and get new customers. This place did not do either of those things. The staff was great, portions were very small, and they added a $6 coffee. Not that great coffee. We were then told that the... More

Stayed at the Westin last year and ate here on our last evening........just amazing. Staff were attentive and friendly, helpful when choosing wine! Four of us all had three courses each and we could not fault anything. My brother-in-law had the prime rib steak and raved about it for days!! "Best ever" he kept telling us! We all thoroughly enjoyed... More

At the last minute we needed a reservation. I heard the food was good and I especially wanted Prime Rib. It turns out The Oak had a prefix dinner option with 3 courses for $49.00. Crab Chowder soup, that was so delicious. 2nd course was the beloved Prime Rib, I ordered a specific cut. It was delivered as promised. Cheese... More

Sometimes has been a line to get in. Petty standard highend hotel fare, but well prepared and fairly quick service. A step up from the lobby fare. Some interesting lighter fare

My colleague and I had both breakfast and a lunch meeting at the Oak Room. The decore could use an update but the staff and service were attentive and very helpful. The food was properly prepared, presented well and delicious.

We discovered this place in our hotel at the end of our trip and decided to try their breakfast instead of going to Starbucks up the street. Delicious! I had the crab omlettee that had jack cheese and asparagus in the omlette with the crab. I've never had such a good omlette. It also comes with hash browns and a... More

Do you want something from another era? How about food created by a real chef? You'll spend a little money, but you'll enjoy the meal, and the service will be perfect. You may even have nice piano music to accompany your meal. The Oak Room is an elegant and sedate dining experience, worthy of what you'll spend. It also has... More

Food and service was pretty much as expected for its location in such a good hotel. Very good but nothing overly special or unique.
