High marks for atmosphere, service and food. Really had a great experience. Valet parking at the hotel was a little pricey but that's to be expected at a large hotel downtown in a major city.

We ordered the salmon and tofu bagel without the salmon and the waiter brought something fantastic. We were so impressed and pleased. Beautiful space. Very busy on a Sunday morning, but the wait staff were terrific.

My fiancé and I ended up here one night on our trip to SF. We were exhausted, and it was a few blocks from our hotel. The Dungeness crab chowder was so delicious, as was the prime rib. We really enjoyed it. Really romantic setting, easy to get to in Union Square. Waiter was very nice.

The St Francis has been a gracious part of San Francisco for over 100 years and I enjoyed eating at the beautiful Oak Room. My friend and I went to dinner and chose their fix price 3 course dinner which included salad or soup, several entrees, cheese cake and a glass of very good wine. We picked the cheesy crab... More

We had dinner in the Oak Room and all the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The décor was amazing. Our meal was out of this world. Our waiter explained everything on the menu and made great suggestions. He was enthusiastic about the new menu and you can tell he really enjoyed his job.

I had lunch here with some business colleagues recently. The atmosphere is staid to say the least. I ordered the chowder which was nice but the size of a thimble. Someone else ordered the French onion soup and it was at least twice the size. The service was OK but not warm or friendly. Prices are high for what they... More

We enjoyed our night at The Oak Room. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The food was good, but for the location and price it needed to be great. We got the French onion soup, and asked for it well-done. When it arrived, their was no bubbly charred cheese on top; it had apparently sank to the bottom. The taste... More

We ate here as part of a group and enjoyed a good meal and excellent service. We also had breakfast in the Oak Room, which was buffet style.

We often eat there. Never had a bad meal, never had remotely inferior service. Menu is good as most and quality of food is good. We go there every time we are in SFO......so.....quiet, low key, is what you are looking for this is it.
