The bands can be very good to just average. But we always have a good time when we go. Food is always good but not great! You should go for the entertainment!
Being from the South finding a spot in San Francisco hyped to be Southern/Cajun cooking with live music seemed like wishful thinking. However, my wife & I were pleasantly surprised! The music was outstanding (even bought the CD, which we rarely do)! The food was better than expected but the service was somewhat slow even on a poky Sunday night.
I was here several years ago,and it was outstanding- last night however, the food was awful and the service was even worse. So they are called " Biscuit & Blues" ... but the biscuits were so bad I ate 1/2 of one- disgusted!! The Cesar salad was ok, but the grilled chicken tasted like microwaved version of chicken. Grilled? Maybe... More
This is a great joint for Southerners with a craving for the tastes and sounds of the South in the middle of SF. It's basically dinner with a show, although you can just buy tickets for the show if you want. We thought the food was good, tried the shrimp and grits and the peppered brisket, both excellent, with generous... More
This is more a bar than a restaurant. The food was pretty good even though the menu was limited. Southern style food is not my favorite but the meal was cooked well and I would eat here again. The main reason we went there was we are big Blues fans and we saw Tommy Castro while we were there and... More
Food was ok, menu limited and of a particular cuisine - Southern - ok if you like the style. We however went for the music.... which was great. The room is relatively small and intimate with bistro tables in the main central area and booths around the edge. We saw an act called Tia Carroll who had a 4 piece... More
Perfect Blues venue. Small, intimate, dark, smoke-free. Acoustics great. Every seat very close to band. Great music every time I've been. Acts that don't have big "brand name" have been great, talented musicians. The southern style menu is fun but food is just average - but it's nice to be able to dine while listening, if you want.
This place was a last minute decision.. Great music.. The menu is a little too rich for me, so ate very little, but my friend loved it and dove right in.. I did however enjoy the music and atmosphere..
My friend and I went to see Shane Dwight perform his latest CD release. The scene at this place is very laid back. The staff are very friendly and the performance was great. If ever in the area make sure to check out what events are taking place. You will not be disappointed.
