Great Blues, Interesting Seating Plan

No doubt about it, Biscuits and Blues is a fantastic place to hear real blues in San Francisco. Ticket price ($24) was reasonable. It's important to note though, if you are a single or even a couple, you should not count on getting your own table. The bar's business model is to stuff as many... read more

If you love good Blues and southern cooking, this is the place for you. Music: this venue is a small, intimate club-like setting where you are no more than 40 feet away from the stage. Last night we were 10 feet away from John Nemeth and the Memphis Grease Party and a surprise sit-in from Elvin Bishop - fantastic! Drinks:... More

We were staying at the Handlery Union Square Hotel and the concierge suggested The Biscuit and Blues Club as a great venue. He sure was right. We bought our tickets early in the afternoon from their box office, then returned that night for dinner and the music. It was a very friendly atmosphere with tables close together so you got... While vacationing in San Francisco we made dinner reservations at Biscuits and Blues and was extremely disappointed in the level of service we received at the restaurant by the waitress Jenny and the manager. Our dinner reservation was for 6:30pm and showtime was at 7:30pm which we arrived 15 mins early only to wait another 10 mins to purchase the... More

We were looking for a reasonably priced music experience that started around dinner-time. We found yummy food (the ribs were so meaty!), good beer on draft, and a great blues band performance. The staff was friendly as well. It was a great night out!

B&B is a fantastic little music venue that also does (passable) Soul Food. For this particular weary traveller it soothed, energised and delighted, while throwing in a decent plate of Jambalaya. Not super cheap (it's a block away from Union Square) - but if you're in need of a little soul, and let's face it, who isn't, it's going to... More

This is a really, really good live-music club (mostly Blues, but with other genres mixed in). Very good sound system in a intimate setting with a large stage. Tables are very close together, typical of music clubs everywhere. Adding to the atmosphere, the club is in a downstairs space. Performance prices are very reasonable. As an added bonus, the food... We visited San Francisco in 2012 and had the urge for some food and blues, I think we went on a Monday night and it started off with a guy on trumpet and a guy on keyboards, had a few drinks and some food, the Brisket as amazing. As the night went on other musicians just showed up and joined... More

We decided on this place after looking for somewhere to see some cool blues and grab some good grub while we were at it. This place had good reviews and I liked the look of it online. Our mind was made up when we met a guy down at the cable car depot who was going there later that evening... More
