So good!

We sampled several dishes and all were fresh and full of flavor. I found it to be a fresh take on Thai food. The menu offers a wide verity of options. It was actually a little hard to decide on a few dishes because we want to try so many. The service was also fantastic!

Fresh and innovative Thai cooking, great value. Worth a visit to decide if this is on your list for Thai food in SF, it's certainly on mine. They have a good draft beer selection as well.

Dining with my daughter enroute to the DNA Lounge for some Burlesque on a Friday night. Great convenient spot. The space is nicely appointed and has varied setting of tables and chairs. There is a community table and an upstairs. It is loud when the place fills up but a lively space & the crowd was a mix of hipsters... More

I ate there while at the folsom street fair. Good food and fast service. I had a chicken dish and the prices are reasonable for SF

We had booked the large table for a party of 21+ at this restaurant prior to arriving in San Francisco. Since we had a large party of people coming in from Philly, London and Miami we decided to congregate here! It was a great choice! The food was delicious - we did a pre-set menu and the room was fantastic!... More

They are not in a busy street, so it's more chances to park. The interior is spacious, wooden, calm and busy at the same time. There are couple of tables for two and long tables for big parties which they could offer you to share with others. I like this concept! The food was really good and portions are huge.... More

a bit more authentic than your typical american cookie cutter thai restaurants as they feature dishes like larb that you won't often find outside of SE Asia. I was a little disappointed that the keffir lime features they advertise were actually made with regular lime. still not a bad place to stop into as the prices are reasonable.

Enjoyed a nice meal at Basil Canteen. The food was good although it could have been spicier. The service was friendly & efficient and the wine was half price for a bottle - you can't beat that!!

I ate dinner at Basil Canteen tonight with my wife. The staff is very friendly and helped us with our questions about the menue. We started the evening with fresh Oysters for $1 a piece (every thursday). From 5-7 pm it's Happy hour with cheep cocktails, Thai beers and different starters. We picked the spring-rolls and the satay sticks. It... More

On a Sunday following my daughter's wedding, this was one of the few restaurants that had a table for 10. The menu is extensive, and everything we ordered--which was a lot--was delicious. The restaurant was packed, but our server was very attentive and always available for additional orders. I would recommend eating here.

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
