Make sure to try their brunch

Really good food and fun atmosphere. Their brunch menu is very good and reasonably price. The place is somewhat small so plan on getting there early or you may have a wait. The portions are large but importantly the food is very good.

3 star food with one star service. With so many great dinning options in sf, not sure how this made the top of the list.

This traditional southern creole food restaurant was a big hit for our family. Sign in on the chalkboard and within ten minutes we were at our table and enjoying deliciously prepared food served with a smile. The neighborhood surrounding it has a few colorful characters, but this place was well worth the walk!

Dined here with the wife this evening. I REALLY wanted to like this place. Great menu and rave reviews. We had: Crawfish Beignets, Fried Cauliflower, BFC dinner & Shrimp & Grits. The Beignets were just OK. The cauliflower sort of the same, just nothing remarkable. The highlight for me was the Shrimp & Grits and while good, I have had... More

For a bit of cajun-style food in relaxed surroundings Brenda's is a wonderful place. It can get a bit crowded and noisy so try to reserve if you can. The food was first rate and I would recommend sticking to the beer. The bar is modest as is the wine selection.

This little restaurant was an amazing experience! GREAT food (shrimp and grits was to die for-so savory!)....fresh, hot Beignets. The music, staff, vibe of the place was just perfect! Our new favorite place when we visit the City. Enjoy! We were lucky and didn't have to wait, but it is small and I am told there can be a wait....but... More

1st, do NOT walk to this place.. It is a scene from a horror movie, if you walk on Eddy or the adjacent blocks.. The homelessness issue is in your face, and will ruin the ambiance for you.. The food here is good.. Not great, but good.. The Sweet Watermelon Iced Tea is a must.. So are the beignets.. The... More

Be prepared to wait for a table if you are in groups greater than four. It's very popular for a reason! Great food, great selection and great staff. A little bit of NOLA in San Fran. Well worth the wait for a table

On the hunt in Frisco for a yummy and cozy breakfast/ brunch spot. Took a train and a Muni bus connection to reach here. Got there about 10:30 on a Sunday. Saw a small crowd on sidewalk so new we must have found the spot. The menu looked fanastic as my wife and I read on down the items posted... More

I've had some terrific breakfasts in SF, but this time Brenda's was the best. I had a shrimp and goat cheese omelette with some wonderful topping that was scrumptious. The seating is very casual, ie "hip" and we were at a tiny table that couldn't actually fit the 3 platters of food we ordered. We put the pancake platter on... More
