We had the beignet flight, seafood Benedict, two eggs and bacon. We left there so full and couldn't eat a quarter of the amount of food we ordered.

Ah Welp Yelp!!! I fell for the hype. Waited over an hour for a party of 7. With a name like Brenda's Soul Food, I was expecting this to be a black owned establishment. Nope. Not a big deal, but a little surprised. It was a cute spot located in the Tenderloin. Some tried to talk us out of walking... More

Yes, you will get fabulous Louisiana style food at Brenda's and enjoy the experience. Can have a short wait as the place is deservedly popular, but get a glass of watermelon tea to sip & the time flies by. Enjoy biscuits, andouille, catfish and all the trimmings. Yum! ...

If you're looking to have something different for breakfast, this is your spot. Cajun/Creole influenced offerings that would be at home in New Orleans. Beignets are filling so share them. The biscuits are flakey and tasty but also filling. Grits, andouille omelette; you get the picture. They also have french toast, pancakes and more traditional omelettes and eggs so bring... More

You must have time if you want to eat here. When you come in you have to sign up and hope it goes fast, it usually takes about an hour or so... Nevertheless the food is pretty good...

It's been a while since I've been to Brenda's French Soul Food but I was determined to make a visit while up in San Francisco. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel, we walked our way through the Tenderloin to Brenda's. I had prepped Sean on the possible wait since it was lunchtime but we were able to get... More

I was here for late lunch with a friend. We order Oyster Po'Boy as recommended by the waiter and it was very good! Will come back again to try their breakfast as I heard their shrimp and grits is the best!

Cozy spot with great food. The beignets...try all of them. They are wonderful. The shrimp and grits..the best ever. The tables are a close to one another but open your horizons and meet a new friend...it adds to the experience.

Prior to a concert we were attending, we went to this restaurant for dinner. It opened at 5pm, we arrived at 6:00pm and it was already operating in full force. The restaurant is not fancy, and somewhat crowded with tables closely arranged. Our party order three separate entrees, I had ribs, collard greens and Mac and cheese. All were reasonably... More

Stopped off at Brenda's for a quick bite to eat for dinner, before a show. We both ordered the cheese shrimp and grits. They were outstanding. The candied yams were good, much different than I'm accustomed to. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wish we could have stayed longer to try some desert. I will definitely return.
