Go early or wait in line!

Found this restaurant on Bay Area Check please, were in the area so made it the dinner destination. The guy that seated us wasn't digging his manner too much. He practically ran through the restaurant, granted it's not huge to get us seated. No how are you this evening, or welcome. When you do go... read more

This is our go-to place for breakfast anytime we get close to San Francisco. I'm a southern girl and this is the only place I've had decent shimp, grits, and a biscuit on the west coast, outside of my own kitchen. The food is consistent, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. Buttery without being greasy. If you are driving up to wine... More

This is definitely the best breakfast/brunch option in SF(or at least one of the top). The line can get insane so arrive early and also check out the counter(its first come first serve) Food: very good-excellent: the beignets are all fantastic but the original and crawfish are prob the best. The croque madam and benedict were very tasty(my husband said... More

This is not a restaurant for the calorific faint hearted! However, if you want to try some super tasty southern Creole cuisine this is the place. I was so torn on what to order and will be heading back for more over the last few days I have in SF. Be prepared to wait in the queue for a table,... More

We came for supper, luckily at a time when there wasn't a long wait. The restaurant was crowded, fairly noisy and table space was tight (diners at the table beside us ended up putting some of their food on our table because they ran out of space!). Not a spot for a romantic, quiet supper. But the food was spot... More

As we walked in we were greeted by delicious smells. My husband said "it smells so good that it is my new favorite place and I haven't even ordered yet." We started with the Beignet Flight which includes a plain, a chocolate, an apple and a crawfish beignet which was delicious. Note that one order is plenty for 3-5 people... More

We waited an hour to get a seat. Luckily, it was a beautiful day and the sun was beaming; a welcome departure from the weather in Wisconsin. We had the beignet sampler and it was crazy good, but the crawfish beignet outshines the others. Just get an order of those and you'll be set; they were so filling. Bananas Foster... More

We went on a Saturday evening at 6, and there were so many people! We waited for probably 30-40 minutes, which was fine for us because we were waiting for a friend to show. I had the hamburger, which was delicious. Husband got the meatloaf which was too spicy for him, but I thought that it was pretty good. The... More

I'll start with the good news - the food is incredible. We came at breakfast time on a weekday (there was no wait at all) and ordered the beignet flight - which were all delicious, but huge! I ordered the shrimp & grits, and it was by far the best shrimp & grits I've ever had - those flavors were... More

Without being wordy, an excellent bohemian haunt with excellent food (brunch). Very reasonable prices and good Bloody Mary. DO NOT walk from Union Square unless you are properly accompanied.
