I love the view of the harbor and the fusion flavors. Have eaten at La Mar in Lima and quality wise this is just as good.

I visited Peru last year and enjoyed the food, so was eager to try La Mar. A friend hosted a birthday dinner for me and it was quite good. I had ceviche and the 3 kinds of causa along with a salmon entrée served with prawns and vegetables. Dessert was a delicious and generously proportioned fruit tart with a scoop... More

To be fair we had a set menu so I wasn't able to select my preferred. The food was tasty with interesting combinations. I like the halibut ceviche and quinoa salad. A little slow but all in all very good

Was very skeptical as to what this restaurant would be like. The menu was different. We had a wonderful waiter who was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful in assisting us with the menu and choices. His suggestions were excellent. The empanadas was great. We did quite a few starters which gave a great variety of favors. Highly recommend to try... More

Wonderful. There used to be one in Costa Rica but it has since closed :( We were so happy to walk by this one on our way to the Ferry Building and stop for lunch!! We had lunch outside on the deck. Packed. Really great service-- our waiter was wonderful- Scott S. Our waiter helped me navigate the menu and... More

We sat in their sunroom area that overlooks the water. Nice. My wife's Ahi was quite good although the serving size seemed more of that of an appetizer rather than a main course. My Cuban pork sandwich was fantastic. Good flavors. Took quite a while to be even acknowledged after we were seated. And then our waiter kept disappearing. Maybe... More

Four of us shared a selection of ceviche - very fresh flavours. The main course salmon was good, but I found the mushroom sauce to be too gloopy for my taste. The traditional Pisco Sour Peruvian cocktail was a killer!

We did NOT eat at this restaurant, but wanted to drink something. Manager John ( from Ireland) sat us down at a table with a beautiful view, told us that they were preparing for dinner, but that we were welcome to enjoy the atmosphere and brought us two glasses of Orange juice with his compliments.

We ate at La Mar at Pier 1.5 last week. The food was very good. My wife thought it was outstanding, but i thought it only "good" but either way it was unique--sort of a combination between Japanese and South American, and maybe a tough of Mexican thrown in. The "ceviches" --sorry can't remember how it was spelled----were excellent and... More
