It's all about the french toast

I love their French Toast. I really do. Their custard toast is a little bit more special than your typical pan fried eggy bread. First, the texture was perfect. The toast was fluffy on the touch, slightly crispy on the outside and really bouncy in the center. The egg custard was cooked... read more

Best French Toast I've ever eaten! Get there before they open so you get your seats. The staff are friendly and takes their times to provide great food and service.

The challah French toast was the best I have ever had...even better than Momma's. However, be ready for a long wait in line.

Loved the French Toast, ambience, and attentive and friendly staff. We were in the city only on the weekend so we could not help but brave the long wait for the Friday thru Sunday Brunch. Would made weekday/weeknite reservations next time. Ask Owner Glenn to recommend a dish. He pointed us towards the French Toast and he was not wrong... More

Challah French toast was great- fluffy texture, great taste. Came at 10.30a and the wait was app 10 mins. Not bad. After 11a though, the lines got looooong

Had breakfast at Olea with my wife and a friend who is a local (and raves about Olea). We had to wait 40 mins for a table. Food was delicious - scrambled eggs, and custard toast with fruit (all produce sourced from local Californian farmers), appropriate portion sizes, great coffee, nice vibe and good service. By the time we left,... More

Eventhough we were visiting SF with 2 young kids (took the early shift for dinner), very very surprised ( we are from NYC and we've seen quite a few high end restaurants too...). Easy menu but amazingly tasteful, all local ingredients put together in a way I haven't seen or tasted very often in the last 5 yrs. Highly recommended... More

We ate at Olea last night on the recommendation of a local. This kitchen knows how to cook. The menu isn't long, but the dishes we chose were excellent and very reasonably priced given the quality and the location. Olea also has a nice selection of wines by the glass. The service was friendly and professional. I'd definitely go back... More

The wife and I went to meet a friend of ours who lives in Nob Hill. He had seen the lines outside the restaurant and wanted to try it based on word of mouth reviews. When you go, you write your name down inside the front door, but then you have to wait outside. There were three other couples ahead... More

In need of a restaurant destination, quickly, I flipped open the hotel info book and their small advert caught my eye. I was not disappointed. Small but imaginative and varied menu, fresh food, appropriate sized portions. Good wine choices. Priced far less than I would have expected. Will go again if in the area.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
