Food OK, ambience and service poor

I ate here a couple of times while staying at the associated Hilton. Food was generally OK (the onion soup was actually very good) - but service was very patchy, with staff very slow to attend to food and drinks orders, and seemingly each person having a small and very closely defined role (no... read more

I met some colleagues here for dinner and was very impressed with the food! I ordered the roasted chicken and I must say it was *the* best roasted chicken I have ever had! A half bird, *very* juicy with the perfect crispy skin. (I was part of a large party so there was quite a bit of tasting other dishes.... More

The food is American Grill, pretty standard fare. The bar is usually busy with tourists or convention goers. The bar offerings are pretty limited and be warned it is def $$$ even by San Fran standards. We had the breakfast and appy offerings. This place is an easy go to when you need to stay in the hotel.

Went there for breakfast while staying at the Hilton Hotel. It is very pricey ($38 for the buffet) and the choices is not that big. Waiters weren't really nice and there was a very long line to enter.

Ordered the fish tacos and got really greasy, very under seasoned pieces of fish topped with mayo, tasteless guacamole, and bottled salsa. The restaurant gets very crowded and loud for lunch and dinner. The drinks were okay. Won't be back.

Had late dinner with colleagues, place was packed, wanted something light to eat. They sat us right away. The meals on other tables looked delicious. I had fish tacos that were very good. Prices weren't bad.

This is a great place to eat, and located in the Hilton Union Square Hotel, O'Farrell St. San Francisco. Open until 10:30pm. The menu is short and sweet, but has a number of options from full entrees, like steak and fries to tappas plates, like fish tacos. Serving specialty drinks that are well endowed with spirits and flavors. Great freshly... More

Not good, no service and 1970s decor. If you can leave the hotel, you'll find much better for much cheaper outside.

Ate two nights here and the food and service was great. Very nice atmosphere. As someone with Celiac disease, it can be frustrating for restaurants to understand gluten free dining. The menu lists gluten free options. I had the lamb one night and the veggie lasagna another night (which was made with no noodles- only thinly sliced zucchini, veggies, cheese... More

Our first visit was on a Thursday around 3:30 and by 5, the place was full of business suits. I thought it was a lot of fun. Lots of chatter and the dirty martinis were excellent. On another day we had some appetizers as well and all was pretty good. Bring on the dirty martinis please!
