Basically, if you are a barbarian like me, then you do NOT belong here. My experience here will be undeniably uncomfortable. I channeled my inner-barbaric nature sitting at the center of attention with my chicken wings P.S. The chicken wings were great.

We shared crab Mac and cheese if I remember correctly and it was delicious! Our server was very helpful with recommendations and knew the menu well. We shared a chocolate cake with caramel and it was a real treat!

Had a good meal here, but nothing extraordinary. I had the mac and cheese with crab. It was good but parts of it were a little lukewarm. My husband had the roast chicken which was very good. Only bad part was the broccolini on the side which was virtually cold. Best part of our meal was our very helpful and... More

The Urban Tavern is where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served as well as being a great gathering place for happy hour. It is generally packed, a testimony to the quality.

This restaurant / bar is attached to the Hilton Union Square. It is the only place to eat and drink in the hotel. (There is also a Starbucks) We visited it a few times for afternoon drinks and some appetizers before venturing out for dinners around town. It gets crowed in the bar area in waves; after work and late... More

Whenever I'm staying in downtown San Fran, I enjoy stopping by the Urban Tavern for a great glass of wine and their sausage and pretzel appetizer. Great atmosphere, great staff, great housemade food and always a new California wine to enjoy!

We checked in the the overwhelmingly ginormous Hilton around 8:00 pm on a Sunday and didn't feel like going out to eat. It was surprising that hotel of this size had only one restaurant/lounge and we were sure it would be as packed and noisy as the lobby was. However, we headed down and were able to be seated in... The breakfast buffet was awesome! There were so many choices beyond the normal eggs and bacon... they had salmon, and miso soup, and all kinds of other items I didn't get a chance to try!

Very upscale restaurant in the Hilton just off of Union Square. Limited menu, but everything was interesting. Extensive wine and beer list. Outstanding service. Restaurant offers 5 hours of free parking. Cost: $180 for 4 (but we had a restaurant.com coupon.)

Was very disappointed with service and food. On paper the menu looked great but the execution was lacking. The crab hush puppies were okay, flatbread dry. My husband ordered the vegetable lasagna and it was gray in color. My salad was inedible, drowned in dressing.
