Very Good Cupcakes!

My family of 4 came by this bakery after eating our supper in Pier 39. This was a neat bakery with a lot of different cup cake options which my kids really liked. It is in a great location close by many attractions such as the sea lions in Fisherman's Wharf. If you are around Pier 39 and looking... read more

Overpriced and under flavoured, Paid 75 dollars for 12mini cupcakes with frosting and printed image delivered as a gift, packaging was not impressive, did not look like I spent close to that amount, the kids were underwhelmed too, some were left over. Very disappointing.

Wanted something sweet so stopped in late one afternoon and got 4 mini cupcakes. All had good flavor but we're in the dry side, but again, it was in the later afternoon. Even so, the red velvet cupcake was great... And I generally don't like red velvet but got one based on reviews and glad I did.

My husband and I are on a quest for the best cupcakes ever - and we have a winner here! The bakery itself is very small - if there are many people one may even need to wait outside for their turn. Everyday there are different selections available - not countless ones, which ends up ensuring the ones you get... More

I live in the UK & was visiting San Francisco with my boyfriend to celebrate his 40th birthday. I wanted to suprise him with a cake on his birthday but having never visited San Francisco before I didn't know where to start in looking for a good bakery. After searching the Internet I came across Cups & Cakes & I'm... More

I found Cups and Cakes by accident, just by walking by! The small bakery had wonderful scents wafting out the door. Lucky me that I stopped by during their buy one, get one free happy hour. The cupcakes were so flavorful and moist. They could be described as heavenly! My only regret is that I didn't stock up!

The bakery isn't located in a very tourist/popular area but well worth the walk! We tried the Red Velvet and Strawberry cupcakes. The icing is absolutely PERFECT! The cups are very unique as well!

First of all, who doesn't love cupcakes, right? Cups and Cakes Bakery gets it right on all points. The cake is just the right density and level of moistness. The frosting is delicious, but not too sweet or overpowering. And the flavors! They have an amazing variety of flavors they've come up with. Personally, I recommend the fruit flavored ones.... More

Everytime my family or I are in SF we can't resist a stop at this bakery. Just as we start to get tired of walking and sight seeing, an afternoon cupcake at Cups and Cakes perks us back up. Delicious baked goods and wonderful people, a perfect place to round out the day.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
