Great sandwich

A little off the beaten path for us, but read the reviews and that this restaurant has been featured on Man Vs. Food, so knew it had to be good. Unique sandwich combinations and large portions. My wife and I could have split, but glad we each got one so we could try several different sandwiches.

This place was on our to do list on the SF trip after seeing it on Man vs Food. The place is a little bit off the track from SF city center attractions, but worth taking the off beaten path. It is basically a small sandwich shop otherwise can be missed easily, but the long queues on the sidewalk won't... More

Amazing sandwiches! There was lots to choose from and a list of some combos I've never even thought of.

We knew before arriving in San Francisco that this was a place we had to go. We'd read reviews on line and seen on it tv and decided it was worth an explore to try one of their sandwiches. A decent walk, a tram ride and long bus journey from our hotel was rewarded by a truly incredible sandwich. We... More

Great sandwich place which we saw on Man v Food, though not one of the massive challenges, just hints of where to go, these subs were great and just what you need after a long walk.

Legendary place with legendary sandwiches! Plenty to choose from and all made fresh to your specification. Seriously the best sandwich I've ever had! It is a popular place though so be prepared to wait in line at peak times. You can pre-order online though to save some time.

I had decided years ago when they first opened I would never stand in line for a sandwich!! Yesterday I was out walking and the long was not too long and I decided to try it. It was SO SO SO GOOD! Now that I have had one, I would stand in line for one. This is the original location... More

San Francisco is probably my favorite city in the world, so for me it's a kind of mission to discover the good spots that can enrich this incredible paradise. Ike's place is simply The place to go. Never had in my life such good sandwiches, so tasty and unbelievably light. It's a sort of personal experiment about pushing our own... More

The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
