Delicious Modern Mexican

We arrived just after opening at 6 pm, and the hostess kindly found us a nice table despite our lack of reservation. We had yummy Margaritas and ordered 3 tapa plates - Tropical Spice Dusted Shrimp Taco (our favorite) , Blue Corn Masa Calamari & Black Squid Ink Sopes (most unusual), and Lamb... read more

This was my second visit to Lolo's and it didn't disappoint!! The eclectic decor is wonderful and so is the food. I had the beef taco and it is not your run of the mill mexican taco along with an excellent margarita!! Juan Carlos even remembered me from my last visit in April for brunch and that I liked Bombay... More

We had the best night at Lolo! We got a tip from a local to check out restaurants in the area and ended up strolling past this place. It sounded good based on the reviews we could pull up. Unfortunately, all the tables were booked solid for the night but we hung out for 20 mins and ended up getting... More

This meal was solo In San Fran. Overall to food was really good. I had the crab croquettes and fish tacos. The croquettes were delish overalls but was missing the crab taste. Though I don't dispute there was crab there, just wondered how much. However all the croquettes were a pillow of yumminess. The sauce they came with was delish.... More

To reach our table, we walked through the main entrance and into an adjoining room. The route took us past the kitchen, where I was nearly knocked over by a cloud of foul stench that seemed to be a combination of mildew and sewage, as though they have a chronic drain back-up issue. To be honest, I would have turned... More

Our first dinner in San Francisco was at Lolo, and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. While I'm under no illusions that this is how people in Mexico eat day to day, it was a great twist on classic Mexican food. The kale salad was also delicious, not to mention a really big portion. The staff were friendly,... More

We had a party of six arrive at Lolo around 10:00 on a Saturday night. We sat at the bar for about 15 minutes while waiting on a table, and we all enjoyed wonderful and beautiful cocktails. My favorite had a garnish of rosemary and lemon, so each sip included the wonderful aroma. Once seated, we ordered about ten dishes... More

This friendly and attractive restaurant offers a variety of dishes that were new to us including a great calamari dish with a blue corn masa "muffin"underneath it. There's a lot of tasty vegetable choices and our two vegetarian friends were happy with their dinner. The vibe is youthful but we felt quite comfortable although we were the oldest diners in...
